I don't think we're a good trade partner with SJ. Wilson made it very clear he is going with youth and turning the team over to the young guys.
Don't think Martin would fit into that philosophy. Sutter.....perhaps. - 87_71_11_29

Martin is licking his chops for free agency next year after seeing what Brooks got. I think other teams sense that too and probably limits his tradability. |

I'd bet that pretty much every defensmen in the league got a solid chubby thinking of what they could make after that Orpik deal. |

There are 7 German-born players in the NHL. The Penguins signed 3 of them the other day. If they go out and sign Dany Heatley too, it's safe to say Jim Rutherford is a Nazi |

Rutherford after being accused of an NHL Nazi regime... "I WILL HEAR NO MORE INSINUATIONS ABOUT THE GERMAN PEOPLE!! NOTHING BAD HAPPENED!! SIE WERDEN SICH HINSETZEN, SIE WERDEN RUHIG SEIN, (raises up his hand in the Nazi salute) SIE WERDEN NICHT BELEIDIGEN DEUTSCHLAND!"

Barring injury, adding Marleau and TK and sending Sutter the other way; we would have the strongest 4 lines in the east. |

Well I know there will be injuries, I was just saying to start the season I feel like that would be the strongest group of forwards we could possibly have. |

I oddly miss Pierre calling him the Little Ball of Hate. He's used it since on different guys but I got a kick out of it the first time I heard it. |

I thought for sure I would get crucified for saying I wanted TK back in a trade involving Marleau. |

Bringing him back with all the depth we have could possibly bump Downie off of the starting 4 lines... so I'm all for it |

Trade him to Dallas for Roussel. They could use a young third line center. Move Fiddler to fourth line duties. |

If you can go back the past 3 years worth of threads I was always a TK supporter. I think the problem with the fanbase was they viewed him as a 20+ guy and he wasn't that. Not sure about bringing him with Marleau though that would be like $9 mil I think in cap coming back to us |

I'm just saying they aren't really making great choices right now.
I wouldn't trade Thornton or Marleau if I were them but they seem dead set on some sort of mythical change even though they had a great team last year. |
