Funny that Matt Moulson and his wife loved it here and Buffalo was his first choice in free agency.

I took grief for years when I worked in the Music Industry . I could have lived wherever I wanted . I choose Buffalo, Folks don't understand Buffalo till they really get to know it.

Ive said it before and Ill say it again, I grew up in NYC, I LOVE my home and will always talk about NYC its suburbs and my time spent there and how I feel that it is the greatest city in the world. That said, my father is from Hamburg, I have been coming to WNY my entire life to visit family and spend holidays, I grew up a Bills fan and a Sabres fan through my fathers teachings and influence. They moved back to WNY when I was 17 and I stayed in NYC and lived with friends and spent my youth doing what I loved in the city I thought I would spend my life in. Then I hit the years where I knew it was time to find a place to settle down, find a woman and a good place to raise a family and I thought only of all the great people I met and the sense of community and local flavors and pride in local business that WNY had shown me in my youth and I started looking for apartments. I found a great place in S. Buffalo and have been here in WNY ever since. I met my fiance here, made good friends and have fallen head over heels for this city and its community. This November will be my 5th year living here and in just those 5 years if I hear people speak Ill of Buffalo it annoys me just as much as when people speak ill of NYC. It is safe to say I am a WNYer now and I have nothing but pride in saying that. Buffalo is now very much my home, and I look forward to being here til whatever comes.

Because one troll or another feels they have to bash the city we all love . This time it is this so called writer for the Sun , Simmonds . It is the people that love their town pushing back . I travelled the world extensively non stop for over 20 years and I choose Buffalo . Now when I have a friend that are in town with big touring shows and they happened to have a day off here . I give them the full Buffalo experience . By the end, they say sorry I busted your chops all those years for living here . I see what you love about it.

I don't feel inferior at all . Every location has its advantages and disadvantages . Buffalo works for me . Others maybe not . But that is no reason to call us the armpit of America.
