We don't need McDavid or Eichel to build a sucessful team (although that'd be pretty sweet) however we still need to add more elite talent for the future. Next years draft has some options past those two names so I think we'll be okay
- Sabresfan-365

Look how many points we are from 27th last year we will be a little better still 29 or 30

Remembered that as i hit submit. He will be 5-6 years away imo

True dat.

I'm looking for Neuvirth to take the reigns, personally. Beyond him, Makarov, Ullmark and Petersen all have huge upside.

Thomas Vanek tells me #Isles offer was "a little stronger" than Wild's, but he ultimately went with his top choice. "It was back and forth."

Since when does Vanek know anything about back and fourth?

Kind of like a consolation prize of not winning the cup? Finishing 27 or 29th?

Niskanen is screwing himself over by waiting. He should have accepted an offer before the market settled.

Btw Matthew Barzal who may go from the 3 or 4th spot in next years draft looks like he should be a super star center in his own right.. The 2015 draft is so deep it's insane!!

While I'd like to have Reinhart as number 1 center this is my prediction right now for lines start of season...

Moulson Ennis Stafford
Hodgson Reinhart Gionta
Foligino Girgensons Stewart
Desluarias McCormick Mitchell

Kaleta, Flynn, Ellis, Larsson

Myers Georges
Pysyk Ristolinen
Weber Ruhwidel
McCabe? (FA?)

This team is still terrible. Moulson is really the only good addition production-wise and he was here last year. Ehrhoff> Gorges and Gionta is just an old guy that will chip in 15 goals. Even worse (or better?) we are missing Miller. Reinhart may be good, but he isn't significant enough as an 18 yo. Even Barkov only put up 35ish points with the Panthers last year. Didn't we finish the year 2-16-1? The Sabres will just tank with more snarl now.

That's the way I see it, we will look better but the final result will more than likely be just as bad.

Agree
Instead of losing 3-0 in games they will lose 5-2
