People are twitter are f'n dumb sometimes...

"Sabres should offer sheet this person or offer sheet that person"

Seriously??? are they worth giving up the 1st or 2nd overall pick for Johanson!?

- JVince11

That is coming from Peters on WGR

If we traded just our 2015 1st for Ryan Johansen...... I'd think about it.

I right now give us about 25% chance at McDavid or Eichel. Johansen is a budding franchise center

Iginla may be next in Dallas, now Lindy has all kinds of talent he can screw up.
- SABRES 89

You know, the seasons of the last two teams' seasons that Iginla has been on have ended much earlier than they should have. Understanding that correlation does not equal causation, I still wonder if there's a common denominator forming.

The top 5 in this draft are supremely more skilled than Johansen.

Not a chance I give that pick up for him.

I've noticed that a lot of fans "out of the loop" would rather try to win now and end up a few points out of the playoffs than welcome someone to the system to make the next decade magical.

Agreed. He's one of the few "realistic" options I would be tempted to trade that pick for.

They can rather all they want. It's pretty clear they don't plan on winning many games.

That's why Schopp's show is absolutely maddening. He draws out all the morons and the uneducated Sabres fans.

Didn't lindy get into the playoffs? Didn't he have a guy that had almost 90 pts? Lindy wasn't a terrible coach. His time was just up here

You make it sound like Sharp is dragging them down, which is completely untrue.

They probably would like to keep Sharp.

As a matter of fact, I'd take Sharp over Spezza.

- HonkFortheGoose

sharp and hossa are both at least a mile in front of spezza

Seguin at 84
Benn at 79
Goligoski at 42
Eakin at 35
Nichushkin at 34

Now add Spezza.

I feel like they are short on wingers and strong at center...

Put Seguin on the wing? IF they sign Iggy that would help out the shortness at wing

This Spezza trade really does have an impact on us, even if we don't realize it right away.

Dallas is in the central division. Along with St. Louis. We have St. Louis's 1st rounder next year. It's possible that they end up in the lottery as well, since they very well may miss the playoffs if every other team around them gets better.

Going to be really interesting season even though we're going to be very bad.

I think that by thursday, there will be many value wingers on the market left, when the price drops

those teams that are patient today will get 50 cents on the dollar thursday

Sharp is apparently a bad guy in the room. Plus, he has been wildly inconsistent over the past several seasons.
