I'm telling you guys.. I've had a weird feeling about Legwand for a week or two... and now the rumors are coming out that we are at the top of his "most likely" destinations.
- JVince11

Just a guess but I would say Legwand signs in NJ.

The players he had Buffalo listed with, he has now removed Buffalo from the player list. Only 3 are connected to the Sabres Moulson, Ott and I forgot the other.
- SABRES 89

Well poop. Guess they're not coming.

Ah, Gotcha. It was the right move. In 3 years we will have forgotten all about him.

And you can say that about 95% of this current roster

- sbroads24

Sorry was up late last night on the phone with my partner from California . When he has brilliant idea at 9:30 pm at night his time . He seems to forget it is 3 hours later here.

Murray did an interview for the NHL XM station yesterday. They asked him how he felt Ehrhoff's play was last year. He said he wasn't going to comment on it, but that the team in general was bad and it's unacceptable.
- HonkFortheGoose

IMO he was just ok for his entire tenure here.

I always felt excuses were made for him because he logged a ton of minutes, but others were not given the same pass. (Sekera, Myers)

In the end, we lost a good player for nothing and it sucks, but it's better than being crushed with a cap hit down the road

BUFFALO NEWS: John Vogl reports the Sabres have interest in “former Sabres players Steve Ott and Matt Moulson, plus Montreal’s Brian Gionta. More importantly, all three list Buffalo as a possible destination, according to various sources.”

Sounds like John Vogl listens to WGR550.

All these things, except the excuses for Myers ran dry I think before last season. Thankfully for him and the Sabres and us, he improved all around. I look forward to watching his continued improvement.

The Buffalo Sabres are interested in signing Brian Gionta once he becomes an unrestricted free agent Tuesday afternoon.

It appears that the interest in mutual. Although the Sabres aren't likely to compete for a playoff spot in the near future, they do want some veteran talent to help guide their young players and they think Gionta would be a good fit for that role.

IMO Myers was only really "bad" in the lockout season. I think he struggled to start the previous few seasons but played well after.

IMO like Murray said, it was ridiculous to expect him to be Chara at 20-21 years old.

It also doesn't help that when Rolston came in, he changed the way that both Myers and Ehrhoff played. He didn't want either of them carrying the puck up the ice, and that's really their bread and butter. It's the strong part of their game.

When Nolan came in, he told them, do what got you here in the first place. You could see the difference in Myers almost immediately. He looked a lot more comfortable. He needed to get back to just being the guy he always was to get some of his confidence back.

Yeah I agree. I think I've noticed that it takes less and less time every year for Myers to start being good again

Yea I was ready to give every Sabre a pass for this past season, however the only 2 players I didn't see a huge improvement in when Nolan got here were Hoff and Foligno. You could just tell Hoff wasn't interested in playing here.

That and I think the inconsistent play is a large part due the instability of the coaching staff and organization.

Don't get me wrong. His first half of the lockout year was brutal and inexcusable

There's a guy who's been chasing the Stanley Cup since he left Calgary.

I can't see him even looking in this direction. But then again, time will tell.

I'm willing to give Foligno a pass because of the shoulder injury we didn't now about. Who knows how long he had that this season. And it's kind of hard to be a "power forward" when one of your shoulders is jacked up.

That being said, if it was really that bad, maybe they should have shut him down for a while or even the rest of the year instead of making him try and play through it.

Yeah, like last year with Myers, Foligno needs to prove to be a capable and consistent third liner this year. I expect 30 points and a great effort on most nights.

All completely true... wasn't it a year or two ago that it cam eout that Pegula has a real big man-crush on him though?

Iginla didn't get resigned by Boston because he was looking for 2-3 years. We are looking to give 2-3 year deals to Vets... Maybe he comes here at his own term.. then be traded at the deadline...

IMO Foligno could even be more than that, but I agree he needs a 30 point 10 goal season and build on It

Myers was playing great hockey last year before he got hurt...

He was playing like at a defensive minded level impact that he had as an offensive minded impact his rookie season.
