Only significance is that it opens room for Brady Austin to play a top 4 role.

On a side note, these guys who get qualifying offers basically get a 10% raise. If Murray feels they are undeserving of the raise, he can simply not qualify them then resign them as a UFA. If he likes guys like say Conacher, he can sign him as a UFA on a two way deal at base salary.
