Good post pretty much my take on it cept for the Miller thing

I hear you there cabin, Miller played great for stretches last year but is on the downside of his career now. The deal he got in Vancouver does not make much sense to me, especially since they may have been the only team interested.

The team should at least be more interesting to watch this year without guys like Konopka, Scott, McBain and a few others that had no business being on an NHL team.

Heard a interesting comment regarding Miller today from a Cali customer. Sais" what with the Buffalo fan ramping up Millers worth. He is and average goalie at best. I came back with its not us . It's the media that hypes the player on the team. He understood it .

Not really... I actually watch every Isles game... so I might know a little more about the team than you.

A lot of guys stepping up from rookie seasons.

Strome, de Haan, Nelson, Lee... along with a healthy Tavares, Cutterbuck and Visnovsky they will be fine.

Plus a couple decent goalies... one big thing that goes unnoticed is Nabby went down and the back ups couldn't get the job done.

I guess we will find out ... no sense in arguing with you!!!

Here's what I take out of it and what I've been trying to say for a while... We were down right horrible last year 10 points or more I think out of 2nd to last place in the league way off in goals for. We added some compete and some scoring (all be it small dosage) but scoring none the less and also got excellent, excellent leadership. We had to spend 20 million to get to the floor and we did it the right way. Murray wants this team to compete and not be a doormat next year. I think also if we fielded a team similar to last year with the changes to the lottery fans would just get all worked up that we'd get McDavid only to be extremely disappointed that it didn't work out.. As long as we finish 3rd-5th worst we still have an excellent chance at Eichel or one of the other top players in next years draft...

Also there's the Islanders pick which who knows how that will turn out.
