Not sure where you're seeing that. Some of us are assuming he may not be back, but as far as I know, nothing is set in stone as far as he's concerned yet.

Thanks.

I hadn't heard anything solid. But it's slowly coming out now I guess.

I'm on this site almost daily and have never even thought about posting. I couldn't help myself today so I made an account just to say this. I don't see how you can think what Tim Murray did by buying out Ehrhoff was the wrong decision. It may upset people but, that is on an emotional level. Murray is a professional GM he can not use emotion to make decision. He has said over and over its not about now its about the future. And now people are complaining because he is making decisions to protect the Sabres future. We are going to be a very good if not great hockey team in 3-4 years. Why the hell would you mortgage our future salary cap for a 31 year old player. He'll be 35 by the time were contending and at the point we can pick up an equivalent free agent for that same 4 mil cap hit.
Sorry to rant on you guys with my first post but please take the emotion out of it. Ehrhoff's is a very good 2-3 d, maybe even the best d this team has (had) but, the possible 1st round pick we could have got for him was not worth the future trouble it could have brought to our salary cap.

Sabres qualifying offers: Ennis, Foligno, Luke Adam, Chad Ruhwedel, Matt Hackett. No offer to Jamie McBain or Connor Knapp. Maybe: Conacher.

damn... McBain I understand because he was already over 1M...

but Conacher too? after only like 15 games?

he must see a completely different vision. I thought he could be a 3rd line spark up kind of guy.

We're full, but I just dont get the move unless McBain said he wanted out. Makes it tougher to get to the floor. I didn't watch him play though, maybe Nolan just didn't like what he saw?

No one cares about McBain. He has a semi decent point shot and that's about it.

He wasn't very good. At all.

And the reality is that even though we need to get to the floor, we also have to be careful about how many contracts we have. With all the draft picks and prospect acquisitions, we're running out of room under the 50 contract max very quickly.

2 games. One of the many, many call ups due to injury. He was on like 3 different ECHL teams this year too.

You don't understand the move??

Risto, Zads, Pysyk, McCabe, Ruhwedel are all better than him and he knows it. He probably asked not to be put in the AHL or to be our 7th man all year.

I know about the kids but I thought you'd want them to work their way through Rochester. Although I like Pysyk when I saw him, he looks ready. Ok, fair enough.

GM Tim Murray says again he has had talks with agents for Steve Ott and Matt Moulson. Doesn't know if Sabres are 1st on their list or 20th

he helps get them to the cap floor
plays center so they can take their time with the rookie

if moved at the deadline he should fetch more then staff or stewart

murray was on the radio this weekend that the sens would prefer to get 2 players that can help them now

I'd make the call

- homiedclown

Your ears would bleed from how hard you could here bryan murray slam that phone back in place

In what ass backwards universe does Mike Weber help a team, he'd be in the press box on that team.

I'd point out that Stewart and Stafford don't carry nearly enough value, but that's moot since Ottawa is trying to shed salary and get assets they can retain long term. Staff and Stew are neither as they both make north of 4 mil and are UFA's next year.
