Cup 06 seems to think so ,and he said its Tampa bay .All those salary clearing moves would make sense then ,I could see it tbh .

I'd still like the Sens to trade Spezza (50% retained) + Boro/Gryba to TO for Kadri + Reimer...

Then flip Anderson to STL for Berglund

to both of those deals. if murray deals spezza to the leafs, it's cuz they're paying a premium.......so spezza straight up for kadri and gardiner, or something like that.

To be honest I think Kadri is worth Spezza at this point. And, I think Kadri will be better value going forward. Kadri is a good possession player that has skill and draws more penalties than he takes. That's something Ottawa lacked big time last year and still lacks going forward. We have guys like Neil who take stupid penalties in the offensive zone and keep getting shift after shift.

toronto isn't on his list though, so he'd have no choice.

actually, i don't know who the (frank) is and isn't on his list anymore, cuz the first list published by the MSM didn't include dallas, but everyone at the draft was saying dallas was on his list.....so who knows

I just wish the team would set a clear direction. Whether it be rebuild or try to contend...

I'd vote for rebuild because the only elite player we have is Karlsson and in 3-4 seasons from now he will still be elite or possibly even better than what he is now. The other guys like Turris, Lazar, Lehner, Zibanejad and Ceci will all be mature at that point too and will be taking on big roles.

I'd like Ottawa to shed some of the older guys this summer and welcome the youth movement. Trade Neil (he must have some value to teams looking for a grit guy), Methot (I like Meth but he's not going to be an important player to the team when we are in need of what Methot can do right now! Currently he's a 4th D man on a contender. In 3 years from now he's another Phillips) and finally trade Anderson for a pick. Go with a lot of youth and see what happens next year and the year after. There will be growing pains for sure but we will get the kids developing faster!

too many centers already, even after spezza leaves. no sense in helping out a division rival............(frank) boston, let them suffer in the cap mess they've created.

I dont think Lazar or JGP will be ready to be full time nhl centers yet, also kelley alone wont be enough to save them

i think they're both ready to be at least bottom six guys.....and both are better options then kelly. rather give them the ice time, and let them develop, then give it to kelly.

i like the guy, but the move makes no sense moving forward.....IMO

That's just me guessing. When it comes to Stastny I've heard Dallas/Blues.

I think TB is obviously a player but who the hell knows. It's going to be a Shiite show

Avs will get in on Spezza if Stastny leaves, that much I know.

Jim Nill just confirmed the #Stars strong interest in Spezza. Said as long as a hockey deal can be made, he's interested.
