No I meant like center, D, Goalie. - mvp0207
Wasn't sure. From things I have read, the guy I like most projected around there is a center. Connor Bleackley. Other than that. My bet. Swedish. |

Becuz they didn't give $6m to a marginal goalie, $4m to a no show LW, $2.2m to a player that should have remained just a fond memory... - fvineze

You know Stan can't wait to hit Walmart to fill out his roster. Refuses to shop at the mall with the big boy GM's. |

Yeah. Seems to improve every year which is one key factor to me. Highly competitive. |

Considering Handzus was -4 against LA and a minus in three of the four losses, maybe Pirri could have made a difference in that series. - NewToHockey
Take away the names and faces, a 2C minimum produces 40 point seasons. Basically, he is good for a point every other game on average. Playing with Kane, likely more. We had a 2C that went 50 games between goals and was barely a plus. How important is an extra goal, every other game, (what we did not get with Zues), in the playoffs?
Q's decision to stick to that decision will go down as the pivotal moment in turning the hawks fortunes back to mediocrity. I am talking about his decision in Mid december to go with Zues, just look at the teams record from that point on. And when we all fret Kane leaving after next year, (now losing out on Kesler), this will have been a key event in him even considering it.
Zues was -8 in playoffs, Regin, or Smith as a regular 2C or just a center in the rotation, how could they have been worse. I mean, Smith replaced Zues in games 3-6 of Blues series and they won...and Smith had 2 or 3 points in those games...weird... |

Bluejacket's head scout Ivan Drago just announced their pick, and I think mumbled something about "I must break you" under his breath. |

If the FO is mad at Sharp for his rumored issue(s) there is no way they would touch Ribeiro.

Cuz Stanny Boy is busy working out his next great strategy... Whether to give Richards a call and offer him $6m for 6 years and a NMC/NTC. |

Not saying that Pirri was the answer, but I called it at the time he came back. When Handzus was out, Kane was challenging Crosby for the scoring title. He came back and Kane's production stopped dead that game. While I'm sure we all loved what he brought last post season, bringing back Handzus this past year was probably Stan's worst personnel move to date. |

Don't confuse me with others TG. I didn't dislike the guy. There was a reason he was moved. - Elbows15
I am not, just trying to separate fact from legend. Objectively looking at it, totally confounding. it was obvious he was not Q;s type of player. Eli pointed out that it was likely he would be moved it he were not going to be in the teams immediate plans. And when Q would not skate him, well there was no choice. All the other hoopla surrounding why he was moved is as speculative as us discussing Sharp punching Kane or the Panthers moving to Quebec.
End of day, he was moved because Q was not going to use him, and they then would not ultimatly resign him, so you move the guy. |
