Wow. You normally don't see this...
Don Maloney re: Mike Ribiero: Mike had some real behavioral issues we felt we could not tolerate going forward - eburgio
Not true. Ribiero got into a well-publicized altercation here in Dallas a couple years ago. It may have had something to do with the Stars getting rid of him.
Should mention it was a fight in a bar. |

Don't know but Bowman's won't tolerate any more of this

Maloney: "Mike had some real behavioral issues we felt we could not tolerate going forward."
Coyotes weren't naive when they acquired Ribeiro last summer, but Maloney thought they could manage. Called it "mistake" now. - FourFeathers773
From the replies to the tweet, it appears drugs are in order. One person replied, 'yeah, but what was his Corsi rating'. |

>I posted about this yesterday -- Hawks seem to get used to set the trade value -- and then "the trading partner" goes elsewhere -- certainly happened with Suter
>Stastny likely to do the same
>I'm reserving judgment until after July 1
>Do the Canes have a deal we can make?
>Eddie O's brother is the new Asst GM there - SnapitUpstairs
I am wondering the same thing.....Doubt they would move J Staal or Skinner. What else is there?
Sharp is also VERY close to the Staal brothers so he might waive to go there. |

How can they say that about a player, isn't that demeaning to his character as he becomes a free-agent. How is the PA allowing the GM to say such things?
Can you tell I hate everything about the Phoenix franchise, it should not be allowed to exist in the NHL. I still want to know how the league owned the team. Seems a conflict of interest to me. - powerenforcer

Really hope we are getting a center in return somewhere if we send out sharp
I'd take bjugstad and jvr for all that - FourFeathers773
No chance. Will be funny this year when the Panthers are stronger down the middle than the Hawks....Bjugstad and Barkov will be the model 1,2 punch Big, skilled, can skate and score....Tallon not trading any of them..... |

What was the altercation? Sounds like he had issues in MTL as well |

I wish Wirtz would stop tolerating Bowman's offseason performance. |

Actually, Shaw has the most number of hits on the team behind Seabrook, not Bickell. Seabrook had 170, Shaw had 168, Bickell had 105 (though to be fair, he played less games). I'm not arguing to trade Bickell, just that hits aren't always done by the biggest guy. In the future, McNeill might be the solution to losing Bickell: good size, good hands, decent skater and can play wing and center so more versatility. By most accounts, he needs another year to grow into his game, though.
Just to point out, the Blackhawks have never been a hitting team. Even in 2010, they were only middle of the pack in that stat. They had more grinders and size than now for sure, but hitting isn't the stat I'd necessarily look at for indication of success. - L_B_R
Some good points. However, hitting does generate momentum, it adds to the forecheck, it wears down the opponent. And the size factor of Bickell is just that, size...we really don't need to reduce it. If McNeill were ready to take over for Bickell then I'd be all for making the move, but as you mention he may not be ready.
2010 was a freak show of a team...a perfect combination of talent and grit and size. NO, we were not an overly physical team, but guys like Brouwer, Ladder, Buff, Eager, Seabs and others made it not so easy to play against. The Hawks are NOW a pretty easy team to play against. Ease of zone entries because no one is worried about a solid check.
Again, NOT a Bickell fan overall...if someone is in house to take up his slack, then move him. |

God forbid Toews should go down for any length of time. Our 4C would be the only legitimate center on the team. |

You guys do realize Sharp was our leading goal scorer last season and was rumored to have a bad injury in the playoffs - hawkshossa81
Is 32 years old, $5.9m cap hit until 2017 on a team that needs space, still has real value as a player... hard to see him go but not for the cap flexibility and if the return is right. If Sharp and a package brought back the Number 1 and Gudbranson (essentially 2 high first rounders) it is an easy decision. |

Stop with the speculation, already. We will get a washed up, slow, poor 3C at best from Bowman for Kane to play with. - Q...argh
Then no Kane extension all next year....

if it happens Reinhart could be the #2 solution for years to come - SaskHawkFan
Exactly! It is a gamble but the added cap gives the Hawks other options to help at center near term as well. |

Gudbranson not for sale.
Anytime anyone wants to suggest Gudbranson as a trade target and available, just ask what it would take for you to trade Seabrook. That is how the panthers see their guy. |
