He knows this because we saw Sharp take BP at Wrigley a couple days after the last game. |

Yea who the hell wanted to get rid of Hoss? That guy is a beast. He scored ZERO goals in the Cup finals, but was a force on the ice each shift. Even when the Kane line starting blowing up LA never once pulled their top guys from going against Hossa/Toews/Bickell...that's respect and also the knowledge that one inch of extra ice and Hossa and the boys would have exploded.
The best coaching move of the finals was Daryl Sutter NOT putting his best against Kane/Shaw/Saad and staying hard on the top line. Most coaches would have panicked and it may have turned out bad for LA (good for us). |

all of you guy are prolly the same ones who said to get rid of hossa after his playoffs after last season - hawkshossa81
No one wanted to get rid of Hossa.
And do you have any idea how bad the Hawks' cap situation could be - this year and next - if this year's cap really is at $68MM?

OMG!!! LOOK AT THAT SHOULDER INJURY!!!
Overrated, selfish player, horrible shooter, no longer bothers with a two way game ... injury excuse gone ... and hopefully, so is he. |

I'm not sure which has me more interested: the draft, or how rapidly this board is approaching Mad Max territory. |

I for one am happy to not have Kelsler...just thought I'd throw that out there. Onwards and upwards. Sharp for Eller+, get on it Stan. |

And scored only 12 goals in the last 40 games of the season, and 4 goals (I think) in the first 18 games of the play-offs - AND took batting practice at Cubs Park three days after elimination. - StLBravesFan
I don't care if Sharp was hurt or not really, one bad post season shouldn't be enough a reason to trade a guy who, while streaky, contributes as much to the team as him. Maybe next year when they really need to make cap room for Toews and Kane, but I'd love to them to make a run this year with Sharp on board before a possible Capocalypse 2.0 next summer. Everyone thinks Bickell could step up into first/second line minutes easily, but even he has admitted he can't play his post-season style all year. Sharp's production would be hard to replace, no matter how you look at it. |

It wasn't a physical injury he was suffering. His feelings were hurt after weeks of playing like crap and getting moved him to the third line. |

That is a major reason to keep him. So he sleeps 41 games a year and he kicks ass for 41 games...but he does get it done in post-season. You can't over-rate that. He is about the only guy with any size and other than Seabrook no one hits more than he does on this team. We need MORE size, not less of it. - kwolf68

I would agree with this. I think a small tweak here and there would do wonders for this team. Leddy+ for Frans Nielsen wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. |

The Statsny rumor is just so dumb.
A major reason for not landing Kesler was the salary cap.
So ... we go from Kesler to A MORE expensive option?
NO. LOGIC. IN. RUMOR. |
