Sharp, Leddy, prospect and #5 for Kesler? Too rich for my blood. - DarthKane
3.6 million savings on the cap. Hawks are wing rich, center poor. I can see them grab another LW either from a trade or start looking at the farm hands. I think any deal for Oduya will be part of that. |

You are trading Sharp for pick 5. You're double counting.
It would be Sharp, Leddy, and prospect not named TT. You're going to have to shed salary and you have to give up something to get something that would fill a major hole. - Sconnie
Do the Isles, who need to get to the floor, have any need for Versteeg/Roszival? Can they be bribed into it? |

if thats true I imagine its Sharp+ for the #5 pick?
Then the #5 pick, Leddy, and a prospect for Kesler?
my best educated guess - FourFeathers773
Yeah that would be my guess, too. I just don't like it. But I guess if that is the only way to get Kesler. But I was hoping they could get Kesler with other things then trade Sharp to bring back some good youth we lost in the Kesler trade. This now just seems like a sideways move. |

Hawks signings: Raanta $750,000 AAV, Smith $1.5 M AAV - FourFeathers773
with Raanta thats less than he made last yr but it maybe a 1 way deal |

Ben Smith might be a steal at 1.5 the next 2 years
Kid just works all game long, can play on any line, phenomenal down low, 14 goals in first NHL season, and kills penalties |

Ben Smith at $1.5mil is a bargain for what that kid does. - dan9189
Yea he could be a 20 goal scorer getting more than fourth line minutes. |

On the other hand, the kid (who is older than Kane ) probably feels like he's won the lottery after all he went through for 4 years. Good for him. |

First I would hope they would get more than a #5 for Sharp, second Sharp may nbot want to go to a team who has the number 5 pick - paulr
I would think so too. Maybe Martin comes to the Hawks as well. |

can't believe they were able to cut raanta's AAV from $1.4 last year to $750k. that's some nice work by SB |

Sharp has a NMC, so I don't think NYI would be on his list. Maybe Florida since Soupy is down there. Would depend on if all the rumors are true or not about the "fight with a important player" and if he wants to leave. |

You honestly think sharp wants to go to the islanders? Will never happen - Mo_Dangles
What if Fels is correct? That there is some crap Sharp is not quite the angel the franchise portrays him as. If you hold a gun to someone's head, they usually acquiesce to your demands. |
