So...
You're saying to get Kesler the Hawks would need to give up Sharp, Leddy, pick 5 and a prospect.
Ummm... I'll pass on that plethora of talent/picks etc. - CaptainBlackhawk
Yea, i would rather trade Sharp for the #5 pick and take the high end pick to replace TT if we need to move him. Or just work out a deal for Nielsen and screw the pick |

If Stan Bo does that I'd be awfully pissed off. - CaptainBlackhawk
Never going to happen no way Stan pays that price for Kesler.

Sharp, Leddy, prospect and #5 for Kesler? Too rich for my blood. - DarthKane
Depends on what prospect for me. Certainly not TT |

But what are they giving up to get pick 5... that's the key there. |

If Stan Bo does that, he won't have a job very much longer. |

It doesn't depend on what prospect.
Leddy, Sharp and pick 5 is too much for Kesler. WAY too much.
That type of a trade is for an elite goal scorer. |

if thats true I imagine its Sharp+ for the #5 pick?
Then the #5 pick, Leddy, and a prospect for Kesler?
my best educated guess - FourFeathers773
You honestly think sharp wants to go to the islanders? Will never happen |

Anyone read Ecklund's new rumors on the Hawks trying to trade for the #5 pick to send to Vancouver for Kesler? - Bjm84
JJ and others have already brought up the Hawks looking for a top 5 pick to move West. As usual, Ek is a day late on the valid rumors and a dollar short on the ones he originates. |

You are trading Sharp for pick 5. You're double counting.
It would be Sharp, Leddy, and prospect not named TT. You're going to have to shed salary and you have to give up something to get something that would fill a major hole. |

Would like to see Smith a little lower, but hard to argue that he hasn't earned the 1.5. I like that kid |

The Raanta deal is nothing so good job to StanBow there. He'll get better once he plays more consistently. |

$1.5 is more than expected for Smith, only because Kruger makes $1.35. Nonetheless, Smith earned his money and I'm happy for him. |

Ben Smith at $1.5mil is a bargain for what that kid does. |
