If they're talking to Kesler's agent I would think they are feeling him out about an extension? - Hemingways
Or convincing him to waive his nmc. |

If Kruger goes and Kesler arrives, the Hawks still only have two real centers, right? - mohel
Sharp's agent might begin to pucker just a bit, no? |

There already on his list? Maybe convincing him to not expand his list? |

Can't even sign Kane or towes lot alone kesler don't make any sence - Palmer117
1. It's Toews. Learn it, live it, love it. 2. Don't view a single move in a vacuum. 3. 'guins have cap issues, deal with it. 4. Can't sign? FA isn't even open. 5. I am putting 19/88 at $75M/8yrs each. |

Swapping Kruger for Kessler is +3.675 cap hit. So someone definitely goes still.
I can't see trading Oduya and Leddy, they have to sign a veteran 2nd pairing dman and those guys don't come cheap on the FA market. Or cheaply in a trade.
We'll see. This could be a fun and/or frustrating next few weeks.

$75 mil a year? Holy Crap! Only Ditka is worth that kind of money. And he could have kicked the Kings asses with one skate tied behind his back.

Only a marginal C improvement if 16 goes the other way. Wonder how many 3C/4C options SB has? Plus SB will have to move more cash in other moves. |

If they get Kesler, I don't see how they keep Sharp. |

I got the 8yrs number in there.
Ditka? What is the statute of limitations on number of years of love for a coach who won exactly one title and that was because of his DC and his players? |

What like Kesler's agent told the world Kesler didn't ask for a trade after 'sources' said he had asked? |

The best is when 2 posters try to negotiate a trade for their teams. |

I think the involvement of a third team to get Vancouver a top 5 pick is an entirely doable strategy. If Bowman can get that done he will get probably get Kesler. If he Bowman pulls that off he deserves a 5 star GM rating. |
