glad to see Bollig moved bc of that 1.25 cap hit..but he was fairly effective as the Hawk's enforcer.....so who replaces Bollig's physicality and fighting ability?? |

Just looked up Wiz's mock and he had neither Iocapelli or Olofsson being drafted.
Cause for concern? - vabeachbear
Freddy Olofsson?!?! Big fan of this kid. Tons of skill, best skater on the Steel an elite skater, incredible vision and passer, with a helluva shot.... He'll play with the Steel this year.
Edit: Just noticed the Hawks drafted Freddy in the 4th round. Like this pick, a lot..... Come see him play with the Steel this year, especially if Muskegon (Iocappeli) is in town. |

Guy is a one punch fighter. Left uppercut. And the league has him figured out. Nice story and a great wrist shot, but can't be counted on when it matters most and not because of effort. Just limited skills and skating. |

Why do both of these prospects seem to want to stay in their comfort zones instead of moving up a level?
Is there something to this? - StLBravesFan
In Iocapelli's case, just checked my notes, Matt didn't complete a course needed for admissions so he can't enroll for the Fall Semester...... But if he goes to a CHL team he will lose NCAA eligiblity. So we'll see what he and the Hawks come up with. He may not be interested in school in which case I'm sure he's off to the CHL. No doubt he can play in that league and do well.
With Starrett it's hard to say. He's an East Coast kid and might not want to leave home. Many East Coast kids stay home instead of coming to the USHL, much like Minnesota kids won't leave until after high school, then they play a year in the USHL before going to college.
But make no mistake, Starrett's development is stunted by not playing in the USHL.

Just got done texting with JJ….
He's taking this Bollig trade a little hard. He's a trooper. He's not crying or anything. But he's cut the feet off his pajamas and he threw his cereal at the wall without even eating it. His kids have put him in timeout to try and get him to settle down. Hopefully he'll be up for a new blog soon. Meanwhile, refrain from saying "B-52" on the boards….might set him off again.
As for who replaces Bollig as the tomato can…..errr……fighter on the team, Stan has shown a knack for signing a John Scott, a Montador, a Winchester….. He'll sign someone. You just watch. there will be someone Q plays for 5 minutes a game…. Colton Orr….someone will be here.
Anyway, so long BB. Congratulations on a job…….done. |

Yep, the powerhouse Eden Prarie HS, MN program. Kid is smallish, offensive defensemen although I never saw him play. Will lace em up for the Omaha Lancers of the USHL this year. Omaha at one time was owned by Luc Robitaille and Mario Lamiuex.
