That's a minor win today, right? - grinder10
Depends on what you expected from today. There is still a long way until puck drop.
Maybe its because I wasn't all that thrilled with Kesler.
guess when you think of Carey, Johns and TVR being added to the roster this season. It looks like a good "draft". |

Nice retort. Useless, meaningless...much like what you want this forum to become based on your self-appointed standards.
People who rag people on how they post simply put suck. It's a freaking message board...people are hyped up, fired up, some are drinking, having fun, lashing out, being fans...
It's NOT gonna be a Mensa convention. The sooner folks like you figure it out, then you can actually offer your actual opinions on things (which are very often solid). - kwolf68
I've been offering opinions for awhile here. You just don't like them, which is cool with me, Wolfie.... |

Did you see the part where I said it was my opinion? You did earlier say that you would permit me to have one of those, right? - mohel
It's YOUR opinion people should post like you think they should? Arrogant!!!
Much different than you offering your opinion on why Stanley is messiah and David Rundblad is gonna be the 2nd coming of Lidstrom. < yea, you didnt say that |

Your hockey opinions about the state of the team I may or may not like, but I DO respect them. I DO NOT respect you taking posters to task for HOW they respond to a draft. |

Eklund said hawks interested in Ribiero...just what we need to get Kaner back on blow - EnzoD
I am pretty pleased Ek said that...it surely means he's not an option.
My youngest son played against Robiero's son when he played in Wash DC...it was pretty damn cool. (it was Mites so you know the scouts were out). |

carey seems solid but does he have top six ability? Idk if I saw any outstanding traits in his limited time with the hawks... |

I wasn't either...Kesler always seemed a longshot to me. Particularly w/ the salary cap which wasn't helped today.
All about perspective...Johns signing and the two 'free ones' lessen the pain. |

The ridiculous level of whining, female doging and crying on this board tonight caused me to think I'd stumbled onto a soccer board; or even worse, a Canuncks board. Christ, get a (frank)ing grip people. - mohel
I hope opposing GM's don't read this board with the way these posters devalue our players and pump up those on other teams.
Little wonder that Bowman can get nothing done. |

word is he has substance abuse issues...not what the hawks need in the locker room tempting Kaner with hookers and blow |

Plus our boy McNeil. Seems like the perfect year to add some kids to the line up. |

I don't care if you drink kool aide...do it. Within the context of "everything is groovy" I have no issue with you. I don't want you to NOT be what you are. If you think things are spiffy, great.
I NEVER said you SHOULD respond in an angry frustrated fashion such as many here are. THAT's the difference so your argument does not hold water. You and others have whined about HOW people are responding.
It's over and done with. I said my peace, you said yours. I'm moving on from this....I need to head over to the jersey website and order my Rundblad jersey. - kwolf68
Alright, sounds good. Have a peaceful night (not being a Richard on that one). I'll head off later and order my Kesler Hawks jersey, and we can meet for a beer and switch jerseys like soccer players. |

On a serious note Mohel...I AM NOT upset we didn't get Kesler...I really am not. I never thought it was a good play to begin with. I DO want another L2-C, but more a bargain guy who can snipe from somewhere. |

This whole week bothers me...
How the playoffs ended bothers me...
How the Hawks played from New Years on bothers me...
I'm just in a foul mood...
It's gonna be a long summer... Hopefully it stays cool - ArlingtonRob
Yeah, I haven't backread the 100+ pages here, but if SB was on a mission, it certainly wasn't accomplished. After perusing the latest NHL news and developments, I conclude that this was not a good day...
...I really had high hopes the RK deal was going to happen.

I agree. I wasn't too strong either way on Kesler, but I would like two real NHL level centers. Not stars, just decent ones, so they can roll four lines. The cap might mean one fewer moves than otherwise, but we'll see what it looks like at puck drop. |

Count me among this group, LOL.
But then again, I'm pretty detached, and will simply be a fan, rooting for the Hawks next October with whatever roster the Powers That Be manage to cobble together, just like always, legit 2C or no...

It was a general statement in response to your general statement that nobody can go against the opinions on the board. Doom was all over the board tonight. My opinion is that it is overblown and certainly premature. - mohel
Well, your "general statement" was pretty over the top, but hey...whatever.
I haven't read the entire board, no clue what was discussed, chose to golf and go to dinner with my wife.
I'm disappointed the hawks didn't improve today, my opinion. Different than yours, but not wrong. Relax |
