From Cam Charron:
"Jaedon Descheneau: I'm going to hammer the #FreeJaedon drum all through the 2014 draft, much like the 2013 draft. A year ago, in his draft year, Descheneau was 25th in the WHL in scoring. This year, he was 7th. He's been on a line creating synergy with Sam Reinhart for a couple of years now and he's been one half of one of the deadlier combinations in the league. Why was Jaedon passed over a year ago? He's 5'9". Descheneau had 17 points in the six-game first round series against Calgary, including a six-point Game 3. Jake Virtanen had 6 points in the series. Unlike Mangiapane, Descheneau is my guy."
Lefty, dynamic scorer but a shrimp, worth a shot in the second or third round? |

In your analogy, it wouldn't be your direct boss (the coach) that you see daily, more like the CEO/CIO that you see only on occasion. And if the buddy in company X requires you to move away from your family (in his case his actress gf and family in White Rock) to a crappy location...well...let's just say I'd deal with the once a month awkwardness of crossing the CIO's path and work hard at my job to prove him wrong. - AlexF
I think you underestimate the power of feeling valued. Anyway, I guess we'll see. |

Keep them coming. Truth or BS it makes for some interesting discussion.
My ideal checklist:

Trade Kes
Draft well.

#Canucks have already approached Jason Garrison to waive his no-trade this off-season and he declined
Safe to say that Garrison-Berglund was a deal agreed upon by both sides.. |

How would you feel coming into work every day if you knew you weren't welcome? Your boss comes to you and tells you, "Alex, we can't fire you because of a glitch in the law, but we strongly suggest that you resign. I have a buddy at company X who is really keen to talk to you about heading up their new widget department, so you would have a fresh start".
I'm not suggesting that anyone would get benched, only that it is important to feel valued at work, and if you knew that they didn't really want you there, after you got over the initial shock, you would probably look forward to a fresh start. - 1970vintage
In the real world its called Constructive dismissal and is illegal but your employer can pay you out and if you don't like what they offer you then you take it to a lawyer and then there are fees a time and you better hope you are prepared to pay. In most cases its best to take the pay out and get another job unless they low ball the $hit out of you. |

JJ:
Hawks still in on Kesler but yes, ANA has inside track. Moving Sharp is holding a lot of things (including this) up right now.

Update From Hockey Widow: - EagleNuck
This reads a bit like a novel. Either this person has a source sitting in Benning's boardroom while he's making conference calls to Garrison or there's some elaboration here of what a few other sources are also hinting at. |

How do you think Berglund would feel having just signed an extension to stay in StL and then getting traded to a bottom feeder like the Canucks? |

Berglund's kind of a pillow biter though. But yeah, I wouldn't have minded it. |

But the NHL isn't the real world, because in the real world there is no such thing as a NTC. |

She called the Gillis and Torts hirings in the past before anyone confirmed them. Also mentioned the Garrison thing yesterday before McKenzie today. I think she does have a source, but like I said she does add in her own 2 cents in her posts so you gotta be careful. |

Would he be our 2nd line center if Kesler was traded? He was third line on St louis I believe? |

Berglund isn't ideal but likely fills the 2C need until either Horvat comes of age or H Sedin moves down and we find a 1C from somewhere else. |
