We have yarry a year out or so. He looks promising - pensfan024
A few decades ago we also had Craig Hillier who looked very promising. Jarry's at least three years away.

They do not work out 90% of the time. Pens are not in the situation to be making that kind of gamble. |

if grabo and kuli want to go to same team do you try to get them? - nh4442
Those two aren't good enough to be demanding a package deal. JMO but that would be dumb for two average players to try and pull that off. |

It's not like Grabo can't play wing.
I'd be all for bringing in Grabo/Kulemin.
Re-sign Goc and trade Sutter for a good piece+pick. |

Think of Satan/Fedotenko....Grabovski/Kulemin.
This might work. Both are skilled and good two-way players. |

i think theyre both pretty good. would like them both. but grabo is going to need to take a substantial pay cut and i dont see that happening.
if kulemin is dead set on playing with him, he may be the one missing out on an extra mil somewhere.
that being said, i would still really lovek kulemin on a cheap deal if possible. i understand he wont pot 30. thats fine. |

That's my point. You're kind of tying your own hands financially if you insist on playing with a certain guy.....especially if you're not exactly a special player. I don't believe it frankly.
I would love to see Kulemin here too. He can slot in nicely on the 3rd line, but has the ability to move up if need be. |

My thoughts on the matter...
Ducks have cap space and are looking for a top 6 guy, Neal might be a fit. Look for the major piece of the return to be the tenth pick and draft an NHL ready forward - Nikolaj Ehlers comes to mind. Depending on fair value bring more assets into the equation.
Fluery to the Wild. This has been discussed a lot today. Again, try make the return revolve around the Wild's 18th picks. Again add the necessary trade pieces in as you see fit. Draft another Winger. By this point I'm hoping we have our 22nd pick for another winger or Demko. The way goalies project I think it's safe to say you can never have to many in the system.
The free agent signings are clear so take a look. If I had it my way Scuds is gone but that isn't too realistic. I would like Stempniak back but tough to fit in that line up.
Constructive criticism is welcome!

Per TIOPS...pens not actively shopping Neal but listening to inquires. have toldteams they aaren't interested in a futures deal for Neal
I guess that'snnot shocking but I want multiple contributers ( not a 1 for 1) and not to get older or more expensive. At any rate, let the Sharp talk continue... |

We get the 10th pick and I'm taking Perlini. Get into the 2nd round and I'm targeting Nejezchleb or possibly Lemieux if he falls. Regardless, I have a hard time thinking this happens. I'd go after Smith-Pelly or Etem as the player back. |

@pquattro89: Hearing BOS is shopping Eriksson. Also, #Pens may be working on something big which involves Fleury. NHL heating up. |

I don't think Fleury gets younthe 18th overall. And not sure anyndraft pick will be starting right away. Like the Hemsky and Kulemin signings. Kulemin might be xheaper than that. Don't know enough about bernier or beleskey. So not bad, but I want more for Neal

@HopintheCordoba and YouMeAndDupuis9.
Perlini has the size which is encouraging. I think him and a couple other guys have the potential to get some games under the belt (best case scenario of course). I'm not sure what Neal is totally worth to the Ducks so I didn't go overboard. If you looked at a return of Etem or Pelly you're getting what you asked for but that's likely getting too rich for the ducks.
Kulemin could be cheaper, I really don't know. He is a FA after all so he won't be cheap...whatever that means.

Hemsky kulemin miller and 2/3rd pick
Round out top 6 creates better bottom 6 letting your play and a better goalie plus helps depth in wbs

Makes sense on Kule. These contracts have been pretty ridiculous so far.
I would do Neal for 1st + Etem or SP. Don't see that happening though. I posted earlier they aren't doing a Neal for futures deal so it mightbe a moot point. I llike theidea of getting yyounger but they got to play right away. Kulemin is an additional piece but will not rreplace Neal's production alone.
I would jump with joy if Fleury got us a first round pick...that'sthe best part of this roster haha.

To me, if you can get both Grabo and Kulemin at reasonable prices, that's fine with me.
Trade Sutter, maybe pick up an extra pick. Resign Goc.
Still would love Iginla if he cant iron out a deal with Boston. The guy still has it.
How about Leo Komarov? Guy is a good sandpaper annoying type guy to center your 4th line. |

Imagine getting 9th pick from WPG for Fleury/22nd. 10th pick and Smith-Pelly or Etem from ANA for Neal. Draft Perlini & Virtanen.
You get 2 high picks that could both potentially play depending on how they look out of camp. You get a player that's ready now in Smith-Pelly or Etem and they're both cheap. Pick one and you get a good option. Then you bring in Reimer. Fill in whatever holes you want with FA options. Ton of cap space. |
