Everything. My guy smuggles in some pirated free 1000 hours of AOL discs. Takes a while to load them on my Commodore 64, but I get there....eventually....

Just have to watch out for those Philly blogger from cell block D...they think they own the yard.!

If a team traded for Hayes, would they get the compensatory 2nd rd. pick if he did not sign with them? I don't know the rules.

I'm going to create a list of things I am looking forward to no longer seeing on here, come July 5th. Assuming a few things are cleared up by then, here's my start.

1. The wacky daily rumors started by Ek
2. The constant 'JJ/Al have you heard anything' posts, when Al just updated us 32 minutes earlier
3. The endless ridiculous trade proposals where Vancouver is assumed to eat half of every salary
4. The bickering on here about Jeff Carter and whether the Hawks should've pursued
5. The bickering on here (in general)
6. The debate on whether or not Kevin Hayes will sign with the Hawks (it's clear, he won't)
7. The debate on whether or not Kevin Hayes has any trade value (he doesn't)
8. The debate on what the Hawks get if Kevin Hayes doesn't sign with the Hawks
9. Kane/Toews agreeing to long-term extensions (again, assuming this is cleared up)
10. The debate about the involvement of McD (I'm happy with the two cups, personally)
11. The end of attacking JJ's and his sources
12. Rumored Sharp dirtbag behavior (assuming we hear, because I really wanna know)
13. Making excuses for Versteeg's knee as it relates to his brain farts with turnovers

We have a lot to be thankful for as Hawks fans. Reading here is a high-stress environment most days. There are far more qualified people than us driving the bus at 1901 W. Madison. Let them do their job and support the team.

Don't underestimate the possible correlation between a physical ailment and mental lapses.

If Versteeg were skating around, unsure of his ability to start/stop/cut as freely and aggressively as he is used to, and/or subconsciously worried about re-injuring his knee...it could absolutely effect the mental aspect of his game.

Not saying this is definitely the case, and doesn't mean I wouldn't trade him, but I wouldn't be shocked if Versteeg has a fairly big bounce back this coming season.

Dead nuts right. Bowman bought low and will reap the rewards when Hawks docs can monitor him and build him back up.

Unless somebody asks 2.2 will be a steal of a cap hit for him.

I don't think his rights have much value....

And the Hawks would get the 24th pick in the 2nd round of next summer's Draft if Hayes doesn't sign by Aug 15th.

Same with Bickell....

If you are off a step or can't have burst or a quick first step or two, everything can be thrown off. Your mind can move as quickly as in the past but your body/reactions are off.

Stupid is as stupid does, and you can't fix stupid. Versteeg thinks hockey sense is the rank smell hockey gloves leave on your hands...

Agreed. Those are 2 pieces that could make that 3rd line as great as it has been in the past.

There's a correlation, for sure. If you're not yourself, you don't have a good year. BUT...it's not like he didn't commit egregious turnovers in 2010.
