Yeah that's true. There does seem to be too much smoke this year for no fire I actually do see sharp moving. Still not sure about getting kesler, although it would be great.

Sooner or later well know.

What I do know for a fact os that if St. LOUIS ANAHEIM AND DALLAS add centers and we dont we are fuccckkkeeddd

Dont be surprised or angry really if thats what happens. Maybe they find a way to bring in two gritty centerman UFA's on low budget deals, who knows it could be just what the Hawks need. Someone to get possession (faceoff wins) of the puck and dump it to the fantastic wingers. And go to the net defensively and offensively

And Vince ,
The list of 6 teams is contractually required to be given to the Canucks management . Kesler still has to OK the trade. Doesnt have to be to any of the 6 teams listed. If Kesler has decided that he wants to play in Chicago he will be in Chicago . Its that simple.

- mrpaulish

Actually, it was reported this morning that Kesler actually shrank his list down to two, Anaheim and Chicago. Vancouver absolutely won't give him away for B-level prospects, and could threaten Kesler to expand his list of teams by saying "Okay, see you in training camp!". Keep in mind that a good trade is where both teams feel iffy about whether or not they made the right deal. A deal with TT for Kesler could go down like Nieuwendyk for Iginla back in the day. Both teams are happy and don't look back.

Just saw your tweet...that would be nice...can win FO's...kill penalties, and try and have a normal 3rd line again..but from what I remember McClement wasn't the fastest of skaters...right?
- captainserious

I know there is a lot of McClement love here, but I am not overly excited about him.

Good point...in all the talk of the prospects/draft picks, I totally forgot about him... By the way, great tweets yesterday...putting together an article after the draft? I've got the shakes and need a fix

I heard that too. Every players ntc is different . When Kesler asked for a trade he had to submit a list of 6. His agent probably told Vancouver to get a deal done with the Hawks. They have to have a 2nd team floated for leverGes sake.

Ntc are the worst thing a gm can give a player. Lol@Gillis . He is still haunting them....

While this time of year is fun it's also very frustrating because realisticaly we know nothing will happen until draft day. Whatever action (or lack thereof) at the draft will hold us over until free agency.

Once we hit August things get really slow and painful.

Mackenzie says Kelser does have a 6 team list, Chicago and Anaheim showing the most interest.

Also said they aren't offering enough for Canucks to bite. Said if the right offer isn't there the Canucks won't move him.

The game of chicken continues...... His value will decrease with each successive trading period. And it seems that he doesn't want to be there. Hence, chicken.....

Makes sense if Ottawa wants to take on Sharp. Maybe we include Leddy and get some picks/prospects back.
- Bjm84

Anyone know if Sharp has given a list of teams?

His value could easily increase at the TDL.

Isles have been working the phones since 12:01 AM to touch base with numerous FAs, Matt Niskanen and Brad Richards believed among them.'

Boys, you may get your wish. If this is true and Isles push to get Richards, Nielsen might very well be on the table

They have Tavares, Nielsen, Nelson, Strome, Cisikas down the middle

Maybe, or maybe they'll hold onto him until the TDL and he'll really open up a list of teams.

To be fair, Pittsburgh had more problems than the salaries of 87 and 71
- eburgio

The salaries of those 2 and Letang create most of the other problems. The Hawks will face those same challenges of filling out the bottom half of the roster with useful but inexpensive players. We already have that issue but it will be far more magnified in a year, regardless of if Kane and Toews get $9 mil per or much more.

Lololol.

Dont worry .

Nothing has happened yet.

The Hawks could still be players.

If the Hawks are involved you're talking dealing with an East Coast team for Sharp and then the Canucks are west coast that takes a lot of coordination and paperwork to pull off deals.

Until poop starts really happening and the Hawks are not involved I believe they will be .

- mrpaulish

That would be ideal, though i don't believe they came from any credible sources, i did hear rumors concerning a three-way between Van, Chi and NYI.
