I told you what I could. That it was something MAJOR off ice and if he were going to be traded you would start to see leaks from media. Well.....you have reports from mass media he is being shopped, heavily, and now a local radio station comfortable enough to tap dance around something off ice.....

I'll say this....somebody on this board who I don't know heard the EXACT same thing I did for verbatim with exact same details from the same exact Hawks employee. I also had a few messages from guys who knew of it as well. I've only had 1 guy say it didnt' happen but he checked with his "source" who is tight with a Hawks player.

It's there...and when the OFFICIAL story comes out or somebody who can be protected legally says it, you'll see why I had to be so vague AND why JJ can't blog about it.

and then I'll bet $$ the fight with X player happened because of the off ice issue.

Wow this entire Sharp "situation" and reading about cliques....sounds really junior high-ish and doesn't put our fair team in a good light....although I'd imagine if you're around the same people for awhile (like the "core" has here, stuff was bound to happen.

I guess it may or may not come out what ultimately happened later on, especially if Sharp is dealt, but frankly, it's pretty sad.

I have a Sharp jersey hanging on my wall and I think that the Hawks should trade him if the return is even close to what Kesler/Spezza are going to pull. We all have seen what Saad can do at a young age and he still has room to grow. Like many have said, strike while the iron is hot, and Sharp could easily net the Hawks a first rounder and a high end prospect or 2 while clearing cap space for the monster deals 19 & 88 will sign July1st..Tampa and Florida have a surplus of forward prospects but lack a top line veteran winger....Sharp could easily become the face of hockey in Miami...i mean just look at him

You are probably right Al...maybe something along the lines if he can show up big in the first half of the season,then they would call him up ir something similar...and if a Sharp trade happens that might possibly strenghthen their case,saying that they need a winger

As john has alluded to numerous times, just because 88/19 play on the same team doesn't mean they are hanging out off the ice all the time.

Yep and at his age I don't blame him. I mentioned that 2 weeks ago.....people can rip him for being entitled or whatever else, but if he feels h's ready or will be in 12 months or less, it's probably nt happening here.

Especially, if he's talking to Ben Smith who mentioned how long it took him.
