The biggest troll of them all. How on earth did he, and/or Matthew Berry, get a spot blogging here. The bar must be set real low. |

No thanks. Neal is a goon who should have been banned for life for the knee to the head of Marchand. The new king of discipline might take a harder stance on Neal's goonery than Shanahan did.

Sharp and Leddy to Ottawa for Spezza and Mark Stone. - Bjm84
Hmmm... That's really interesting. I'd probably say yes to that. Might need to mix in a few more pieces, i'm just not sure from which side. Mark Stone is held in fairly high praise in the org.. |

#2 is easy. That could be 2 cups, and he could extend at a discount if he likes it. No guarantees TT is a top 6 player for even 5 years.
Wasn't Tuomo Ruutu supposed to be a top 6 player for over a decade? - golfingsince
Ruutu was drafted by an old regime that was not good at drafting nor supporting prospects to be successful. Ruutu, even being in a watered down European league (compared to what those leagues are now) never had the accolades that TT has gotten. TT was very close to being a point per game player in a man's league at the age of 18, won the gold medal in the WJC and was the leading scorer. Ruuto was barely a .5 per game player, in the same league, so comparing them favors TT tremendously. |

Sure , if the new management and new head coach want a player that wants out. - mrpaulish
He'll still be playing for his next contract. I'd personally go to Kesler and tell him i'm sorry that I can't get a deal done under his parameters. I'll see you at camp. If he really wants out as badly as suggested, he'll open up to more teams. |

Not a bad deal, but would it really by worth it?
Edit: Can Neal play LW? He's listed as a RW and I doubt he plays ahead of Kane or Hossa. - DarthKane
James Neal?
Screw that.
I'll keep an older Sharp over a cheap-shotting diver who disappears when it matters. |

We'll see..... probably very shortly .
Players get NTC NMC in their contracts in exchange for $ . Player A might sign for 1m or more less annual aav to get a NTC . The Canucks can't pretend that he doesnt have one |

As is Leddy here, lots of upside and high ceiling and I think you guys could use some young puck moving defencemen? We need to a center and a little more size that compliments skill, you can replace production lost(relatively) with Sharp and much more reasonable cap hit PLUS boost your D corps.

Malkin supposedly loves Neal, so we might as well skip Neal and just trade for Malkin.
Sharp, Leddy, TT, and this year's 1. Done. Solves the 2nd center problem. |

He came in here and threw a cheap shot at the HWks and their fans during the Kings series...very mature(red font) |

And Vince ,
The list of 6 teams is contractually required to be given to the Canucks management . Kesler still has to OK the trade. Doesnt have to be to any of the 6 teams listed. If Kesler has decided that he wants to play in Chicago he will be in Chicago . Its that simple. - mrpaulish
worst case you sign him as a ufa in 3 years |

I get that you want your 2LC to be a defensive guy, but teaming Patrick Kane up with Jason Spezza is downright terrifying....

A NTC is a no trade clause. Kelser can't pretend the Canucks have to trade him either. IT's not a trade me to the team I want to be traded to when I say I don't want to be here anymore clause. |

The deal doesn't make sense though. The Hawks don't need wingers, especially wingers carrying 5 million cap hits with the raises due in the coming years. The Hawks only save $900,000 with this type of trade. I think if this were to happen then more pieces would be moving. |

True, and he's under contract, not an RFA like ROR was. I can't see him holding out.
