Love Danny Mac, even with all his ills, Spiegel is OK, and Mully/Hanley are easy listening. Those other j@gs can just drop off the face of the earth for all I care. I'd LOVE to hear Rozner with a regular (daily) gig.

Spiegel and Mac used to bug me, but I appreciate Mac for toning it down and becoming a bit more humble through his life experiences. Spiegel seems like a good guy who just happens to have a great job on the radio.

Anaheim's offers by far the worst unless prospect is named Jesus On Ice Skates. Or Gretzky. It's a weak draft.

Piuttsburgh's is solid and competitive with the Hawks.

Leddy and Pouliot are comparable. Sutter and who the Hawks have probably been offering (Danault or Hartman) are comparable. In both cases, one team's asset just has more experience than the other.

Of ALL the assets actually named here, Leddy is by far the surest thing/highest upside. Pouliot CUOLD end up a better player than Leddy. But that would likely be 2-3 years away minimum. Leddy has all the tools Pouliot does and more size. There ARE valid questions about Leddy's decision-making an delay in his own end, but he has improved in those areas every year. And at 22, he is a top 4 defenseman/PP threat on just about any team in the league except maybe Chicago and 2-3 others.

Granted, Sutter is more of a sure thing than Hartman or Danault. But the best player right now =of all these guys is Nick Leddy. And he could well be 5 years from now.

Uh Ya??? The fans got Gillis fired if you recall. Ownership is very concerned about public perception. I don't think the fans have the mindset you suggest. I live in Duncan Keith’s hometown, last summer he praised the Sedin's, the man is a class act. There are lots of Chicago fans in BC my friend; the 2011 mindset simply does not exist. Give Van what they want for Kes, you will forget about them after you win the cup next year!

I'm having a REAL hard time here understanding why people refuse to include TT in a trade for Kesler. I saw some idiot responded on Scott Powers tweet that nhl will be taken hostage when he arrives. Dear god man, slap yourself.

Will TT be good? Who the hell knows. Will he be better then Saad? I don't think so and I would hope 99.9% of people here would keep Saad over Teuvo. And then you look at Saad....hes coming into his own but he's not a STAR yet. For all the hype this Teuvo kid gets, what has he done? IF he were that good...wouldn't the Hawks have kept him on the roster? Wouldn't this kid have NOT been sent home from his world team? Wouldn't he have made some impact in 3 games? When we saw 19/88 in 2007/08 you knew these kids would be damn good. I don't see that in Teuvo. Not superstar status, a solid NHL player? Maybe....but are you really going to wait on that and miss out on a HUGE chance to give yourself arguably the best 1-3 punch at center in regards to defense, and 2 top centers in regards to offense? All for what COULD BE?

I thought this organization had ONE goal, and that this farm system is so loaded it's bursting...so is Teuvo really going to haunt you and break you? NO, NO he isn't.

Package the kid. TODAY. Get the deal done and give yourself 48 hours to drive the price for Sharp up....Sign a veteran 4th line center. Move Shaw and Smith to Wings. Sign or get back a cheap, large bruising F who can play in the playoffs and you can roll 4 lines.

If they miss out on Kesler because of Teuvo this kid better not only make this team out of camp, he better put up 60+ points and be in contention for the calder to justify the blatant stupidity of playing a dangerous game of chicken.

2) Why do you think a projected top 6 player, for the next 10-15 years, should be traded for a guy who will be a two year rental?

3) The Hawks model is to build through the draft and be patient with their prospects. This is to make the team good for the future. You seem to only care about today. Would getting 1-2 cups (if everything goes well and no major injuries occur) be satisfying enough for you in which we will become a 1st round exit team once Hossa gets too old and we have to go through cap hell again? I would much rather have a good possibility of being a team that will consistently have a chance at making the Stanley Cup Finals, or going deep in the playoffs, like they have done for the past 6 years.

4) Don't compare TT's situation to Toews and Kane, they both were entering the organization at different times with different plans. We all know the Hawks follow the Red Wing Model, so lets take a look at their players who entered the league after they were 19 (TT's current age):

Fedorov was 21
Lidstrom was 21
Zetterburg was 22
Datsuyk was 23
Nyquist was 24 before he had more than 25 games in a season

Were all those player not "that good" and didnt play in the NHL because of that?

McNeil is too proud of his alcohol and drug issues, his rehab stints, and his gambling - it's like he thinks all of those things are somehow cool, "manly" things to do. Spiegel always seems to be saying things he just read or heard, especially about hockey - he has no analytical abilities.

Bernstein and Boers are - well - we know what they are.

Molly and Hanley have Chet Koppick diseases- they ask 20 minute questions that get 20 second answers.

Of course, it was even worse when they had North, Jiggets (fattest human this side of Aretha Franklin - if you can get around to this side) and Murphy.

I can't say there are any "personalities" on any of the sports talk stations that I look forward to listening to.

I think the HAwks have a deal in place for Kesler , I think the Hawks are verifying with the league on the order as which the Kesler and the Sharp deals have to be made so that the Hawks stay cap compliant throughout this process. The Blackhawk front office is very detailed. I am sure the Canucks and whoever is getting Sharp is happy to wait an extra day . I think The Hawks , Canucks and Sharps new team will all be happy with the deals they made. This wont be a 3 way deal but two different trades ,

They brought in this tool, Bro Jake, who knows nothing about sports but tries to be entertaining. You definitely don't listen to 1040 is you want actual sports news.

If the Kesler deal doesn't work out, there are other centers out there. While I prefer Kesler, I'm ok with any real centers to fill that spot. The bar isn't very high.

I agree, they are what they are........most of the time I listen it's for background noise....although as I told you before I enjoyed the Penn State commentary on the B and B show.
