But key line of HF evaluation of Ducks is:

Key Losses: Jakob Silfverberg (graduation), Hampus Lindholm (graduation), Emerson Etem (graduation), Devante Smith-Pelly (graduation).

They have a strong roster presence of young guys 22 and under. I think they would move any of them (except for Lindholm) as part of a package deal for Kesler. The Chicago graduate is Saad and the Hawks are not open to that kind of move.

So, if you are trying to sell hope to the Vancouver fans you go with the best youth package you can get. This is where the Hawks have difficulty matching the Ducks firepower.

True, but the Ducks are going to have to pay more to get the Nucks to deal in the division. In reality, the whole prospect thing is a crap shoot anyways.

The Way i look at it Chicago is vancouvers only option, would we trade sharp to st louis, or Dallas only to have to face him 6 times a season and then possibly in the first round, not gonna happen.

Does anyone think that Bowman is talking to both Vancouver and Ottawa and will pull the trigger on the best deal possible (either for Kesler or Spezza)? I'd rather have Kesler but if the Hawks land Spezza, I'd be perfectly ok with that too. Regardless it seems like FINALLY they will address the #2C, thank God.

From a negotiating leverage perspective, it would behoove the Hawks to clear the cap space prior to making a deal for Kesler. So if Sharp is suddenly moved to MTL, domino's are about to fall
- Sundevil

Does Sharp have any NTC in his contract? I doubt he is thrilled about playing in Montreal. In Winnipeg, maybe as it goes to his roots. If Sharp moved now the idea I like best is assets used in the deal to pass along for that coveted #2 center. All so we can keep TT.

I am not sold that Benning wants Leddy. But he might like Tinordi a lot. A scout at heart like Benning thinks what about Leddy? The good and bad. A scout at heart like Benning probably gushes over Tinirdi acquisition. Just saying if Sharp to Montreal, then insist on Tinordi. Not the "ok" Eller. How about Sharp, #2 2015 for Tinirdi, #1 2015. Chg gets fair value here? No?

Despite the "one goal from the Cup" meme, the Hawks center position was badly exposed in the post season. Yoda Bowman said as much and I'll go with his analysis over the folks who think all we need is a 4th line grinder to make our dreams come true.

Part of me likes a smaller scale deal involving Neilsen, Shenn, Vermette type players...so I am not completely sure we should be going after a Spezza or Kesler, but if the deal looks good for us (limited in elite prospects, salary retained) then it's the best center situation Chicago has been in, even during the Cup seasons.

Here,s a theory on your only deal available.

Buffalo 6 th over all Tanev and Shinkaruk

Vancouver 2nd overall Grigorenko Zardov

Kesler put on waivers

Kane can join his buddy next year in Buff

I would think Montreal and Toronto would be two teams most Canadian players would LOVE to play for. And with Montreal rising up to contender status it makes them an even more attractive place to play.

This makes too much sense and therefore is not likely to happen. A nice idea but for all that to go down...surprised if it did.
- jhawk59

Thanks. And I figure it is just a nice dream. I'm sure stan will say we tried to get kesler but the price was too high. All he will end up doing is just a minor tinker

It's funny how all the main stream media sources are picking up on something JJ reported a long time ago. It makes you wonder, maybe this JJ guy knows what he's doing????

Thx Darth, not so sure about that but it is kind of ironic when some idiot tells me on Twitter last week that all the guys at the Score think I'm a fraud. I'll just keep doing what I do . . .

He makes up for it by playing for Cups. While Toews is #1, Kane gets as much-if not more- publicity than Toews.

I won't say never, but I expect Patrick Kane to be resigned by the Hawks in early July and Buffalo fans can get back to worrying about their own team instead of cherry picking our players we worked for years to get by sucking really bad.

We can have it written into his contract to have mom's home cooking shipped in daily. All is well.
