All damn day.m

Today was busy , however starting tomorrow they the draft this board might have the most traffic it ever has with the Twitter going to explode because teams will be allowed to talk to RFas and FA s. Going to be wild times.

Not really .

Leddy played a merer 7 minutes on average in the playoffs , time to sell is now plus then you get to keep Oduya and the Organization has D depth in the A

Shaw is NOT A #2 C . Its never going to last . He is more of a 3rd line W . Easily filled in FA with the $ saved from the previously metioned fictious trade .

#1 pick sounds good to fans which Van City can sell to their fans , we dont need that pick in this years draft .

Danault being included lets you (us ) (The Hawks) keep TT .

The best player in this fake trade is Ryan Kesler .

ANyways its just my .02

- mrpaulish

Strongly disagree with your assessment of Shaw. First of all, his contract for the next two years of $2 mil annually is MORE than affordable. You're forgetting that he's still only 22 years old and he is a valuable piece to our franchise. Scoring 20 goals, contributing 170+ hits and being a pest is a valuable commodity and not easy to replace. Sure, he's better suited as a winger and I think that he is an excellent option on the third line at the wing, but I still value him much more than I do any prospect.

Trade McNeill, trade Danault, trade any prospect you want before you even think about moving Shaw. (TT is a different story because of how valued he is).

Nothing but love for ya pal.

I'm hoping that if Sharp is moved the bottom 6 will be bolstered somehow saving enough $ to acquire a Kesler.

Plus if there is any $ saved maybe a bottom 6 or #6 d man can be had ....

- mrpaulish

I don't see a scenario of Sharp and Kesler on the same....in a perfect world...yes.

Keslerman fills an obvious need....moving Sharp will help you fill the needs I personally think are more important than the 2C....bottom six depth and defensive depth.

No big deal Newman , it started off because a poster suggested :

3 ways deal , We get Kesler , Fla gets Sharp , Van City gets the #1 pick .

I was just saying VAncouver would hold out for more rightfully so. My proposal might have been a bit over board but closer than the deal the other poster was proposing ,

- mrpaulish

My proposed deal was more than fair all around. Keep in mind that Sharp had 78 points last year!!! (Compared to Kesler's 43!!). Position, age, and intangibles even the deal. Florida gets a veteran leader to help with all the kids, and who is about to start his decline but still produce. Vancouver gets to draft Sam Reinhart (which would THRILL Canucks fans) with the first pick (and use the sixth pick on Nylander. Not a bad start to a rebuild to add these two players with Horvat and Shinkaruk). Chicago gets a true 2C who plays a complete game.

......I agree. Adding Kesler as a stand alone deal does nothing for the Hawks....woopty doo....we filled our 2C hole....but if anyone thinks we go to the cup just by adding him is mistaken....

The Sharp deal is the most important of the two...what we get in return will make the difference with next years cup run....

Bottom six...
D Depth...

Fair or not Vancouver wants someone they can put in a news conference not just a pick.

Any legit 2C instantly makes the bottom six better by making sure the likes of Shaw and Smith stay in it. Yes trading Sharp could further bolster the bottom 6 and D depth, but 2C fixes part of the bottom six via trickle down.

Maybe....not the worst move we could make but I would think the return would be higher for Sharp.

Hard to say......The Sharp deal may come first because the Hawks would have more leverage....I would think.

If Brian Boyle is the return for Patrick Sharp.....I will order ten Duluth Trading Co Shirts......

Don't forget about the D depth as well....especially if you losing Leddy to Vancouver.
