Board is all screwed up tonite.
I don't think they get enough thru - especially on the PP - too many into shin pads - but I have no numbers to back that up - and I'm at O'Hare waiting for a plane to El Paso so I can be in Juarez tomorrow and I'm to tired to deal with it.
Ogi, if I had to deal with airports every day.... - StLBravesFan
I agree about wrist shots. They need to just wrist it through every now and then. The key is getting to the net. Then anything can happen. Tips, screens, weird bounces of players, taking forever with the big windups just let the D jump into the lane and block it |

To Start ......
Plus throw Leddy and Shaw or Leddy and Danault , something like that .
So to elaborate ,
Chicago :
Ryan Kesler
Florida :
Patrick Sharp
27th pick in the 1st round
Vancouver :
#1 Overall pick
Nick Leddy
Andrew Shaw (or Danault or McNeil or Hartman)
Something like that .
But what I think is happening is this :
I think the HAwks have a deal in place for Kesler , I think the Hawks are verifying with the league on the order as which the Kesler and the Sharp deals have to be made so that the Hawks stay cap compliant throughout this process. The Blackhawk front office is very detailed. I am sure the Canucks and whoever is getting Sharp is happy to wait an extra day . I think The Hawks , Canucks and Sharps new team will all be happy with the deals they made. This wont be a 3 way deal but two different trades , - mrpaulish
Too much and I don't want to part with Shaw.

Sharp (top line LW)
Shaw (3rd line/possibly 2nd C)
Leddy (3rd pairing D, with upside)
1st round
And Danault
to get Ryan Kesler ? A bit much don't you think???? |

Maybe not , I could care less about Shaw , the 19th round forward that loves to take stupid penalties . WHat if Shaw was included in a package for Kesler , Shaw , LEddy and a #1 , then Sharp is flipped to MTL for Eller .
Then you 2014-2015 Chicago Blackhawks Centers are Toews Kesler Eller and Freddy
Would you miss Shaw then ? |

So we're giving up Patrick Sharp, our number 1, florida's number one, nick leddy, AND Andrew Shaw (or other) for Ryan Kesler????

Not really .
Leddy played a merer 7 minutes on average in the playoffs , time to sell is now plus then you get to keep Oduya and the Organization has D depth in the A
Shaw is NOT A #2 C . Its never going to last . He is more of a 3rd line W . Easily filled in FA with the $ saved from the previously metioned fictious trade .
#1 pick sounds good to fans which Van City can sell to their fans , we dont need that pick in this years draft .
Danault being included lets you (us ) (The Hawks) keep TT .
The best player in this fake trade is Ryan Kesler .
ANyways its just my .02

No reason to argue over the imagination . It doesnt have to be Shaw . But SHaw is a replaceable player on this team . He seems to be leveling out already , not sure he can improve very much more that what he is now . |

So, you love Ryan Kesler so much that you would approve of and oversee moving out Sharp, Leddy. Shaw (or a top minor league prospect) plus a #1 pick to make it happen?
This Kesler guy must be real good!

LOL .. Dammit its Shaw or a prospect not both !
But I digress. Kesler is uber good and on a line with Kane and Saad he mightget 40 goals again . |

No big deal Newman , it started off because a poster suggested :
3 ways deal , We get Kesler , Fla gets Sharp , Van City gets the #1 pick .
I was just saying VAncouver would hold out for more rightfully so. My proposal might have been a bit over board but closer than the deal the other poster was proposing , |

Even if Kesler doesn't get 40 himself, Kane might come close to it.
The other factor to consider is what playing with Kesler would do for Toews. As others have said, having Kesler will lessen Toews load. |

From what I've read it seem Van wants a high draft pick, a prospect and a player off an NHL roster. - jhawk159
Bickell, Morin, 2015 2nd rd pick, and 2014 1st rd pick. |

Yes. Shaw is a gritty versatile forward who can play on the 2nd or 3rd line and he's he only forward to consistently park himself infront of the net. All for a cap hit of $2.0. I'd love to have those four Centres but we don't need to part with Shaw to make it happen. |

No worries.

Yup...it should be an exciting time. Hopefully Stan makes a move at the draft (ie Nielsen) and signs Kane and Toews on July 1st.
BTW...welcome back Source, this place isn't the same without you. |

If you could get John Tortorella thrown into the deal he could slide right into Jamie Kompon's job. And there would be great hilarity watching Torts yelling at Q on the bench every game when Q started mixing up his line combinations. |

So where are we at.....
Sounds like we are close with Keslerski....have the Bowmans received the McD stamp of approval???
All in all for whats on the table its sounds like a solid move....TT would be a big prospect to move but at the end of the day there is no guarantee he develops into what people think he will become....his future is mostly at RW...where we have Hossa & Kane.....he's not a third line player and I don't see him having an impact as a center.....so he fell into the lap of the Hawks and you have the opportunity to fill a need some think has been a glaring hole in the organization........so in the end it makes sense.....if its helps us win another cup or two then it's worth it.
Patrick Sharp....if the above deal is made we still have an issue with our third line/bottom six and the back end of our blue line. Any deal with Sharp has to replenish these needs....plain and simple. Bickel and Saad will more than likely be the forwards in the top six......so our bottom is
23-65-11......no size
28-16-52......works for the regular season.....not the playoffs
Am I forgetting someone???
...and has much as Dahlbeck and Johns have been labeled as ready for the next step.....I don't two rookies on the back end of the D with Q on the bench....
And finally .......Ogi....Elbows....Mohel....StL(Sage)....HawkintheD...Rollpards....Darth....Captain Serious....Eburgio....Paulish.......TC.....Beav....if Im missing anyone I apologize...thank you for the kind words.....the messages......and the support.....I owe you guys a beer and a pat on the back....... - UnnamedSource
Whatever Stan does I hope it improves the depth significantly throughout the lineup, not just addressing the need for a 2nd line centre.
