I'm guessing it wasn't tendinitis but rug burn, and it wasn't volleyball....but did involve balls. |

Oilers still searching for another Dman via trade. Unlikely to find higher end puck-mover. Will take solid NHL Dman, allow kids to mature

Audette is 5"8'. I really hope the habs stay far away from him. - ShafterBenRaide
I can't see the Habs grab him anyway, unless he's still there by our 4th rounder which I doubt happens.
His dad scouts for the Habs, imagine les langues sales qui vont se plaindre si jamais il ne fait pas la grande ligue. They won't put Daniel through that.
He's very talented, plays hard like his father did and doesn't back down from anyone although it often leads to stupid penalties. More of a playmaker, and he can fly on the ice. But I doubt he becomes anything more than what Mathieu Perrault is in Anaheim, and if it happens, it will require a few years of development in the minors. He will have to learn to take better decisions with the puck, he has the mindset on offense all the time.
He's the type of player whose size doesn't worry me. But anyway most of his production comes, and will come, from the PP, à la Mathieu Perrault. He needs the extra ice, but once he gets it he's quite dangerous. |

QP's 2014 wish list
It's 'Q heavy, I'm not afraid to admit it. My knowledge of the players beyond the first 3 rounds outside of the 'Q comes mostly from the odd CHL games and the major events (international tournaments/ Top prospects games). I only listed players that I've seen play. Most of my viewings have been from the stands, only a handful (or so) of the players from this list were evaluated from video.
1st round
Would be happy with the pick: David Pastrnak, Jakub Vrana, Connor Bleackley, Vladislav Kamenev, Nikolay Goldobin, Julius Honka.
Do not want: Roland Mckeown, Josh Ho-Sang, John Quenneville.
Unprobable to be there but would love the pick: Travis Sanheim, Nikita Scherbak, Sonny Milano, Ivan Barbashev.
Boring picks: Brendan Lemieux, Thatcher Demko, Jack Dougherty, Nick Schmaltz.
3rd round: Vaclav Karabacek, Daniel Audette, Alexis Vanier, Vladimir Tkachev, Ryan MacInnis, Andreas Englund, Ryan Collins.
4th round: Alexandre Goulet, Dominic Turgeon, Julien Pelletier, Olivier Leblanc, Edgars Kulda, Ryan Bliss.
5th round: Keegan Iverson, Alexis Pépin, Mads Eller, Julien Nantel, Francis Perron, Oskar Lindblom, Christian Dvorak.
6th round: Daniel Walcott, Brandon Fortunato, Edwin Minney, Anders Bjork, Alexei Sleptsov, Nikita Tryamkin.
7th round: Sergei Boikov, Keven Bouchard, Nikita Lyamkin, Carl Neill, Connor Garland, Duncan Macintyre, Cody Donaghey, Joey Ratelle, Julio Billia, Jan Mandat.
*not enough viewings but wouldn't mind*: Ryan Mantha, Cameron Darcy, Pavel Krakovsky.
Do not want under realistic circumstances: Clark Bishop, Jonathan Deschamps, Matthew Highmore, Spencer Smallman, Nikolas Brouillard, Jayce Hawryluk, Nikita Jevpalovs, Ben Thomas, Mason MacDonald. |
