Um because Linden was on the radio yesterday and said exactly that duh
- VANTEL

Saw your bloggers transcript of that interview and I didn't see any statement from Linden like that.

Post a link please.

*yawn* What's up fellas?

Hawks will not get Kesler.

Sharp has gone from a revered leader to a locker room cancer in a month?

Trading Shaw would be a mistake.

If Sharp is moved, the team that makes the most sense is Montreal. imo.

The reason the Hawks lost to LA is pretty simple. Special teams were huge factor.

And oh my. trolls for everyone.

Apparently they do.

Canucks hands are tied so they are going to offer Kyle Beach and we will take it whether we want to or not and be happy about it.

I'm out of here . We will find out which team Kes is on next week .Blues Pens or Ducks .

Enjoy your week

- VANTEL

That is one opinion. Stop generalizing.
95% of the SPECULATION here (since you are the only authority apparently) includes those names.

I'm amazed that this keeps coming up without the commenters giving one piece of evidence, or one source, to back it up.

NHLNetwork is playing game 7 against LA.

Unless someone can tell me the ending changes, I'll pass.

I have no doubts he is being shopped. All this innuendo is McD's way of testing the waters. See what kind of backlash there is.

Too conspiratorial, unless you think McD got to several people who post here.

Yes I think the Hawks can acquire Kesler without including either of those two guys in the deal especially when Kesler holds all the leverage. Like I said I'd offer Bickell and another prospect (not TT) and even the rights to Kevin Hayes if he's not going to sign here. Pittsburgh (Kesler's other preferred destination) doesn't have the organizational depth the Hawks have and they're not trading James Neal or Letang for Kesler. The guy always rumored to come back from Pittsburgh has been Sutter who is a nice #3C. Bickell can be a top 6 guy in Vancouver and maybe even the elusive power forward they've been trying to find for years now. Add in a couple of NHL ready guys and you got a deal.

I don't believe Kesler has as much leverage as people think. Benning and Linden have told him they want him to stay. He has responded (supposedly) that he wants out. He supposedly has a list. This is what Benning should say. We know you want out and since you have a no trade clause, we'll try to help you get to a team on your list, but only if it benefits the hockey club. If by Thursday, we can't get a deal with any of the list team, we are opening it up. After all, the NTC was to protect you from the team just randomly trading you, but in this case, you have asked for the trade. Now, as we have said we want to keep you, but if you still want to leave, these are the conditions. And if you turn down a deal, you will stay at home until you agree to a deal. I'm willing to wait until your contract expires, are you?

But part of that problem was the second line - which, after December, was constantly jumbled up and never was solidified - Handzus, Smith, Pirri and Shaw at center, Saad and Smith and Sharp at left wing - Kane was the only constant.

Get a 2C, keep Saad at wing, and lines 3 and 4 become viable.

- StLBravesFan

Yes..In essence 3rd line disappeared and then it was musical chairs...Then when the music stopped Q had a few players still standing.

I think everyone has to question his playoff performance (and has a right to).

Not sure this locker room cancer stuff has ever made sense. Someone posted something about Sharp punching Kane at the end of the RS and it seems to have spread since.

IMO one of the reasons Sharp should be shopped is he has value to other teams because of his leadership. I just think it makes sense because of his age, time on his deal, and cap benefits. Couple those with the team's needs at C and for cap space and he is the logical fit.

I think the chances of Sharp being part of a Kesler package are slim but I would not eliminate the possibility. Benning would get a player he can move to other teams with less difficulty (if Kesler has limited him to 2 teams). If he gets enough with Sharp (like TT) and then turns Sharp and a package into Reinhart (whom they supposedly want) why wouldn't he do the deal?

But, unlike Vantel, I do not have a bat phone to Benning, Linden, Kesler and apparently Bob Murray in Anaheim as well.

He has the same value to the Hawks, but he should get shopped because he is the only piece of the core who has a possible replacement on the roster (Saad).

Right from the Gillis book of management.

The organization granted him some level of control due to his past performance. He is simply asserting that control. I really doubt he holds out with his pal Linden there.

Pretty easy to guess though - if there is a reasonable package on the table from one of his destinations and it is rejected by Benning - he and his agent will not be happy. Do the Nucks need that again? Aren't Benning and Linden trying to change the culture and perception (from the outside) up there? If not, they should be.

Never said cancer. Distraction? Possibly and if the supposed story is accurate you can see why they'd be shopping him.

Before I get "link" or prove it reply, sorry I can't. However off ice stuff that effects locker rooms can be a detriment long term. Anyone who has played an organized sport knows that.

Very well could be and I wouldn't disagree with that. I honestly don't care but I hope others don't bury their heads in the sand.

On the dh blog there was a moderately known media guy.

Sorry, too, but I have never liked unsubstantiated accusations, or vague accusations.

I enjoy reading your posts - I appreciate your knowledge and opinions - we will just have to disagree about the value and propriety of your messages about Sharp's locker room distractions.
