1 day from Carolina is no problem . Get an early start and you will be here before it gets dark . Pack a lunch and have cold drinks to minimize stops. . My Brother and his wife did it last week with two kids in the car.

Minimal drinks....when I flew up in February, I drove down to Florida to catch a flight with my dad out of Orlando (even PMd the clown to see where he lived since I figured I was driving near him).

Hit a stretch where I had to go REALLLLYYYY bad. Took forever to find a clean place to stop, then about 10 minutes later I had to again, and then one more time within another 20 minutes.

Getting old sucks I guess.

Oh, and it's a bit under 13 hours according to google maps. I'll likely give it a shot.

I used to drive from Ft. Jackson SC to Sanborn NY on 4 day weekends....
On my best day it took me 10.5 hours. Pretty sure I sped the entire trip.
I rarely stop...
