JJ - Any interest on Saku Koivu on a one year deal until TT can take the true #2? Or maybe as insurance?
Side note - EK is on drugs. He posted miller to st. louis. Someone tell him he re-posted an old blog |

Then they need to move Sharp back to center. |

Yeah, I saw the Miller to Stl rumore today. Not going to happen. I'll also be surprised if he gets more than say 3 years at $5-6 mil per from anyone. He certainly won't get the monster deal people thought he could just a couple of years ago when he finally reached free agency. And if SJ is actually rebuilding, why sign Miller? I think the Caps make a lot of sense, with Trotz. I know they claim Holtby is the starter there.

This sounds just about right from what I have come to expect from this front office. Not saying this is good or bad because we have seen both outcomes of not adding anything big. But as JJ said in the blog it’s a big fat YAWN |

How we long for the days in Blues land where 2 cups in five years is a yawn |

I wouldn't move Teravainen for Plekanac straight up. |

I'm not remotely surprised.
I've stated my reasoning many times on this blog as to why I'm not remotely surprised. |

IMO they should try and pull a sharp thornton based deal
thornton in a 2nd line role would be HUGE for you guys |

Rather have Max P for Sharp or
Leddy and TT
or TT and a couple of 31 picks. Something like that .
The Hawks don't have to be cap compliant just yet. |

Based on the rumor of #88 wanting to play with a real 2C, does he now hold off on the extension? WTF? |

Either:
1) The Hawks very much know that not getting a true 2C who comes with a big time price tag will not impact their ability to sign Kane
or
2) They don't care and will jeopardize Kane not signing here with the team.
Seeing that #2 really is out of the realm of possibilities, let's hold off on the dramatics of the situation. |

I would do that .
NEED A REAL top 6 center to go along with Toews.
Don't give me any BS about We won 2 cups without one , the Hawks wings and D corps were so ELITE that they were able to mask that problem. Its a real problem now.
Don't forget this Hawks team was very luck to get past the Wild , because Crawford played lights out for long stretches against them . The Hawks need to move one of their Wings (Sharo or TT or Bickell ) or a Nice D man (Leddy or Oduya) and get another TOP 6 center in return .
Would love to see Stan actually get creative . |

I wonder how differently the FO would feel had the Hawks lost in 5 or 6 instead of 7? |
