I still don't know why they aren't more popular? There are a lot of normal people in or around LA. Not just people in showbiz. Lakers were pretty popular. Hockey just isn't big or sports in general? - tomcat24
Sports teams draw, but there is so much to do - in LA, and Miami, and other glamorous warm weather cities - that they don't go crazy over them like we do here, mor in the cold cities of the northeast.
Plus - without a good public transportation system, how would 1,000,000 people get to a parade?
Don't forget - no NFL team in LA - and no one seems to be pining for one.

I think this thread needs a "Babe of the day" type of thing. Need to set up a system that gets a rotation going. When it's your day, you have to post a pic of your Babe of the Day.
Someone get on that. - Ogilthorpe2
My 1st would be that St. Louis blues fan 2nd that oregon volleyball player too bad she isn't older. Like eva mendes or Nicole kidman |

Kings are actually very popular in LA and do sell out or are near capacity quite often.....they also compete against the ducks as well. |

That's what the LA fans were saying. They have other things to do unlike us yeah the fact that they don't have a big need for the NFL says a lot. I can see your reason for the parade, but their overall ratings aren't that great, either. This is a very good team and fun to watch (in the playoffs) I hope more people jump on the bandwagon |

It won't work for more than a season. Schenn is a RFA and Kadri has one year left on his deal. Both will want more than 3 per.
And your 3rd line will kill Q. |

I'm sure a part of it is the problem Florida teams have, so many other things to do, competing for time and money, hockey in a warm climate, etc. Throw in that the L.A. fans are notorious for leaving early in every sport because of the traffic, I'm sure there are a lot of things. - Hemingways
Traffic sure does suck there no doubt about it |

It may be the worst now, but remember seeing on the news a few years back top 3 in order for worst traffic:
1) Seattle
2) LA
3) Chicago

Later. Try thinking of trades where the Hawks give away 1st liners for 4th line plugs while you are up there. |

Didn't make the top 3 in this one; was about 5 years ago. |
