Can't you read where it says Philadelphia Flyers under my name? Sorry I follow more players and teams than just my city's players. How else would you know who would be good targets to actually make the flyers win something.

I want nothing to do with that trade. We don't have two prospects to give. Just move ward for a pick before we bog ourselves down with contracts that we won't be able to get rid of.

That's exactly what a double agent WOULD say... that being said their are a half dozen options better than Dion Phaneuf for B.Schenn and a top prospect. Shattenkirk on the Blues or Yandle on Pheonix to name two. Philly needs to get younger and faster on the blue line. Personally I'm not adverse to making a Schenn brothers trade but I'd like some youth coming back. Gormley in Pheonix, or some of Buffalo's D prospects. It's time to rebuild the blueline right and stop trading away our youth before they mature.

Laughable. If Ward for marleau was the meat of the trade then it would be an absolutely brutal deal for SJ. Even by Ek standards this is pretty bad

Even good goalies generally don't get that much in trades. Mediocre to awful ones with terrible contracts? My guess is Ward gets swapped for another bad contract, maybe with something attached from Carolina's end such as a 2nd

Well, there seems to be a few of them out there, but I don't know for sure where it originated. It does seem like the kinda decision that Holmer has become known for though... I'm happy for you guys that he's no longer in charge

I will say if the Flyers moved down from 17 to say 24 and acquired a decent LW in that deal I would be open to moving B Schenn along with the 24th or 20-whatever overall for Phaneuf.

You won't get a roster player moving from 17 to 24. That exact trade (or close to it) has been done a few times by the Flames, most you'd get is a 2nd and maybe a 3rd
