I think you will see Kimmo in a different role this year. Hopefully they keep his icetime around 16-18 a game. - jak521
I'd like to see a Ghost/Kimmo 3rd pair sometime in January, assuming Ghost doesn't blow the world away in camp and starts in the AHL for a few months of pro seasoning.
But hey- maybe Alt can play with him on the 3rd pair? I don't know how speedy Alt is but I understand he's a good puck mover? Then we can keep Ghost in the AHL, which I feel is the best course of action honestly |

Schenn's new contract probably won't be bonus heavy though, if that makes any difference - Giroux_Is_God
Schenn is not eligible for performance bonuses in his next contract. |

Yeah. I'd like for it to get done soon. I understand the obstacles, but it would be nice to have him in camp on time and ready to roll. |

Don't you want to use it, to the full extent, as early as possible? - jmatchett383
It completely depends on the situation and if you have players that can slide back to the phantoms without having to clear waivers to alleviate cap space. You only have one chance to use all of the players salary our you lose it. |

Think palatsigning for 3.3 mil makes signing schenn for 2.5 easier? - FlyersSteve118
That would be (frank)ing amazing.
I feel like 3 yrs at 8 mil is going to be what we see. 2.667 mil cap hit |

So, in Pronger's case, isn't is best to be $4.9M over the cap on day 1 of the season? |

That depends on when the Flyers place Pronger on LTIR. If they do it before the first day of the season, then that's true. But if they wait until the first day of the season to place Pronger on LTIR, then they can have the full exemption to use at any time of the season. For as many players as they can fit under the roster limit.

I have a serious feeling the only time we see Ghost this year is when there is an injury. I think Hexy wants to be super patient with our younger players... pays off for sure in the long run. |

Thats a best case scenario... I have a feeling its gonna be more of a 2 year, 5.5 mill deal. For some reason I feel Schenn will want a lot more than he deserves.. |

Why is there only 1 on field ref? Why not add another? - PhillySportsGuy
Anarchy. I used to ref soccer. You rely on the linesmen a great deal but the ref is god on that field. There's enough primadonna's out there you do not want a mommy/daddy situation. |

Is dub step considered the new house music? Because that stuff is just noise. Granted, I listen to punk and hardcore, so... - jmatchett383
Possibly, but not sure. All I know is there are a lot of different names for crappy music |

Best case would be to be 4.9mil over the cap with two ahl call ups worth as much as possible to immediately send back down to the ahl to give us full use of prongers ltir and allow us as much wiggle room in the cap as possible. |

He's one of my all time favorites. This franchise would have been in trouble without him. - PhillySportsGuy
Since he's been here he has been the most important player on the ice for the Flyers. A Defensemen you don't have to worry about. Steady and consistently good. Definitely one of Homer's best moves.

I probably would've moved on, but if you are bringing anyone back, certainly a player with Timonen's heart and professionalism...the Flyers could certainly have done worse. |

The best case scenario is to be at or below the Upper Limit coming out of training camp, with Pronger on the active roster. If they are over the Upper Limit coming out of training camp, and need to place Pronger on LTIR to be compliant at that point, they are screwed. But having waiver exempt players that can be sent down to the AHL in combination of waiving players such as Hall or Rosehill, like they did last season, can help accomplish that. They only need to have 20 players on the roster they submit coming out of camp. |

Agreed I was worried they would try and keep him in the 6M range and he has lost too much speed for that. 2M which could go as high as 4M is a wonderful signing. Play him protected minutes, give him a couple kids to mentor. And I am pleased as punch with this signing. |
