White and Moen, would fill the vacated spot on the 4th line...not the 3rd...

We have enough bottom 6 contributors...we need to package other pieces to upgrade the top 6... Maybe even package Eller and Plekanec for a winger. (Because Galchenyuk and DD should be our top 2 Centers).

ok but again, you're going to have guys like Prust and Weise on your third line... with Eller i guess. so you'll get what, 25 goals from that line over 82 games? maybe? i think you're overestimating what those guys bring to a team.

in fairness, i don't think anthems are intended to fire up players.
- Gary_B.

Anyway it's not like I really like our anthem, it's 90% about Jesus Christ.

I'd vote for a copy of Russia's

What did we get from our 3rd line this year?

EDIT: more importantly...who was our 3rd line this year?

What version are you singing? There is exactly one religious reference in the entire English version.

You don't package both players.

That's the point...It's not as important as the top 6!!! Hell I'd be fine with Briere or Bournival centering that 3rd line...

Do you realize that if we improve our 3rd line just a little bit, it'll become our 2nd line? because there isn't that much difference and it's not because our 3rd line is that good...it's that our 2nd one isn't!

We must be the only fan base that wants to build a team from the 3rd line on out...

Let's get a top 6 that can play 20 minutes each, then you can have 12-10 minutes for the 3rd line and the rest for the 4th.

EDIT: although, you are right...I should have written Plekanec OR Eller...regardless...point stands...we need to address more important issues than the 3rd line.

Anthems are a tradition.

If you don't like them then don't listen.

If you are ever at a Hawks game make sure you are in your seats for it.

Good old Google Translate. I pasted the French version to see if there were more religious references in that (but not being French I needed some help). The bolded made me laugh.

"O Canada! Land of our forefathers,
Your forehead is glorious jewels!

As your arm knows how to wear the sword,
He knows how to carry the cross!

Your story is an epic
The most brilliant exploits.

And your value of dipped faith
Protect our homes and our rights.

Protect our homes and our rights"

The french one.

It's true that the English version makes alot more sense. I'd scrap the lyrics of the french one.

This is strange, considering that the French version was written first and "translated" into English in 1906.
