Wait a minute.

Are you telling me the MARKET and not what some whim is going to dictate what Kimmo Timonen gets paid should he decide to come back? Blasphemy.

Asking because wha if Boyle say sings again at 6 mil. Do you want kimmo back again at 6 mil? That's all I am asking

I think he was hoping to get PM off the airwaves.

If they moved up using a package of this year's 1st and a B-level prospect or 2 (Lauridsen/Cousins/Straka/Konan types) and were able to draft Fleury at 12, I'd be very happy.

Not for 6, no thanks.

I don't know if 4M is realistic but that's what I hope for.

Nope.

There is a slight difference in the circumstances in that I don't think Boyle has ever actively talked about retiring. So I don't think market factors in on this as much as normal...

Timmo has stated it is about winning the cup, not about the money anymore. Lets wait and see what he actually means by that. If he really means it lets see him play for 1 million. Any more than 3, if I'm the Flyers I wish him well and move on.

I hope it doesn't come to that.

We'd also end the comments like "absolutely phenomenal hockey player. Oozes with creativity and talent. No one else in the league could make such a magnificent play like that", when all Crosby did was bat a puck out of the air and pass it.

Probably, although I don't think it's quite as far fetched as some other "quick fix" ideas thrown around on here.

Please tell me what you think it would take, in addition to the #17 pick, to move up 5 spots in this year's draft?

If that's the case, then no. But I don't think the two are going to be linked salary-wise, at least not dollar-for-dollar.

oK. I was just curious. I just don't think he will be taking as big of a discount as people think. I don't see 3 or 4. Lowest he would take is 5 maybe 4.5. Just what I think because I think other teams would pay that and he would use that to his leverage. He may say it isn;t about the money but it is always about money.

If it was always about money, Sidney Crosby would be making $10M+ a year.

Kimmo has said he's going to retire or play for the Flyers. I don't think he's going to hold them ransom for as much money as possible. If he doesn't feel they are offering fair compensation, he'll just retire. Tbh, we don't know if he's even going to return yet.

I'd prefer Pierre stay on the air opposed to Jim Jackson. He's brutal. The worst imo.

Never easy to say it depends on the team they try to make the deal with it could vary or they could just ask for a lot even to move up a little, especially as the host they won't cut you a good deal.

Florida and LA did a swap back in 2010... 15 for 19... it cost a 2nd-rounder (the one we gave to LA to get rid of Denis Gauthier).

True, but that pick was 59th overall, so it was pretty much a 3rd.
