LOL. Hinkie will do something more drastic. I feel it.

76ers trade Young, #3, #32 and #47 while taking on $10 million in Twolves bad contracts to move up to #2.

Embiid or Wiggens. I think they're both a level above Parker. There are going to be some crazy proposals to get those 2 players IMO. if Embiid falls to 2(which I doubt) Milwakee just might be willing to deal since they have 3 6'10+ players and may worry about Embiids medicals. They may want more though.

Question.

I think it's believed that Ron Hextall is gonna come in here and be his own boss. Simply come in here, whip clean mistakes such as Vincent Lecavalier, stalk pile draft picks and prospects but we won't know this forsure until the draft and everything leading up to camp. Even LA is known for the occasional ala Carter, Richards and Gaborik. With this said, it's believed that Paul Holmgren was under some pressure to make big moves by Ed Snider. So wy is it believed that Hextall won't be under the same pressure?

Remains to be seen. I have a hard time believing that they are just going to sit back and remain patient, and wait for 3-5 years for the young defenseman to develop to the point of possibly becoming top defenseman in this league.

Agreed 100%. Morin and Ghost might turn into great D men but that leaves the next 3, maybe 4 years completely up in the air. I expect a move or two.

I sure hope so. The Flyers just can't sit back and waste a number of prime years of players like Giroux, Simmonds, Read, and Voracek. I think the only question is, will the right move be available.

I really think Nashville is ready for a big transition and a move for either Jossi or Jones could be made that benefits both teams.

I don't know. I know Nashville needs some offense. But If I was them, I wouldn't move either of those players.

The Jossi contract is very much a Moneyball concept in hockey. Identifying a young player that they view long-term as improving greatly, extending him early which at first seems like a higher cap hit, but as he improves actually becomes below market value and the organization has also bought up some of his UFA years. I think Weber is more likely to be traded, and he isn't going anywhere.

Even if Jones is available, I don't see how acquiring him doesn't create another major hole on the roster. Poile would start with Coots. I would be very considered to believe Schenn or Vinny would be able to handle Coots responsibilities. It wouldn't be fair to Laughton's development to ask him to be a checking center right out of the gate.

I believe they dabble in the free agent market, but I would be surprised with a major trade.

I would include Schenn in a deal for Jones, but not Couturier.

Hypothetically, even if Poile has interest in Schenn, he is going to want additional assets to move arguably the top prospect in last year's draft. I only move Morin in a deal for a more established franchise d-man. I'm not sure Ghost or Hagg would be enough.

Finally, if I'm Poile I would be reluctant to move Jones for the same reasons I would be hesitant to move Morin. If you already have a franchise d-man in the organization, being impatient could really set back your organization for the next decade.

Tough question. I loved Eric Desjardins too.

Can we make this ten because I love Wayne Simmonds.

Coots is a top 3 defensive Center in the league. No way that happens unless a lot more comes back with Jones.

Why? Just because the Flyers have personnel issues doesn't mean you trade a great defensive young center for a young player with potential. Have to be patient. Not saying 3-5 years, but things can be done to fix this without trading, IMO a great Center piece, Pun intended.
