Don't bother like me he is from New York and whether we are winning or losing we always find something to complain about. Just the way it is. IF they win the cup I am sure he will complain too about some penalty or blog - kasperrko
if the Rangers win the Cup and it's an article talking about how lucky we got, yeah, I'll probably have a lot to say, for sure |

Ignore jimbro. He comes into our blog all the time to troll and is just doing it again here. No point even addressing his trolling attempts.

Say what you will about how the guy plays, but I will never use the term "character" when talking about a hockey player unless I am making fun of someone or something. - James_Tanner
I think by character they mean works hard, doesnt give up on plays... like the anti-Ovechkin. Gallagher has a lot of character not because of antics or good gestures but because he is tiny and gets into the corners, scrums for the puck, always skates 100%. MB wants players up and down the lineup that perform like that. Harder sale for an older vet, but for a young team and a fair number of players in their prime it should be expected.
As far as "character" like good gestures, no antics... its spots who gives a crud. Its good sportsmanship to shake hands at the end, but its another thing to let players walk all over you during a game. |

He's going to get at least $6-$7 million per year for 5-7 years unless he decides to take a pay cut and join a winning team that's strapped for cash.

What spelling mistakes? I went back after you said this, and I got to say, considering that I have no editor, and unlike something I might write for a newspaper, I didn't get the chance put the article on ice for a few hours and come back at it with fresh eyes.
This is not a complaint - blogging is what it is. But - there were 2 spelling mistakes. One was the word "incessantly" which due to a spell check mis-click went in as "insistently" and the other was "Lundqvist" which is as hard a name to spell as their is!
So, come on, cut me some slack dude!
And I did not call anyone stupid or dumb. I just said a popular narrative was dumb. It is necessary to do so or those narratives become "reality." Sorry to offend, but I will call all dumb narratives dumb as long as they continue to present themselves, which will be always. - James_Tanner
Ok. I was just frustrated with the tone of the article. I'm sure you're a nice enough guy! I hate to contribute to rude, unnecessary commentary on the internet and I usually never do. My apologies, I'll read again!

bad luck led to 18 shots in elimination game? Only MTL could hit a post in a game and lose... |

Offseason plans should be (not in order):
1. Get an offensive talent like Vanek. Perhaps Gaborik?
2. Sign Subban.
3. Fukk Gionta.
4. Trade Gorges. (I would try to get Yak)
5. Sign Markov if the price is right. (I wouldn't go over 3 years) |

If he wants 8 million or more, let him walk. |

First: Thomas Vanek is no point per game player. 556 points in 663 career games and 30 points in 52 career playoff games is hardly a point a game. Vanek is a player that at times shows flashes of brilliance and the rest he looks like a lazy dog. Montreal picked Vanek up to help with offence in the playoffs and when he was needed he was nowhere to be found. So to say some of the blame can't be placed on Vanek is just stupid(James Tanner). So go Hawks or Kings and f$!k the Rangers. |

Gaborik>Vanek
Gaborik is making a difference for his team.... Vanek has been near invisible~
Injury Prone?
Doesn't seem like it considering how the Sharks-Ducks-Hawks have been hammering him...
You still seem bitter from the 2012 WCF....
Be happy that you accomplished the miraculous feat in vanquishing the Hawks that year.... Never again!! |

A desperate team will give Vanek 7+. The Wild is in a good position. If Vanek really wants to play there, he'll have to accept less money. Minnesota can't afford to pay 7+.
I can see Detroit making a big offer. |

Call it Luck, call it Voodoo, Sorcery, Black Magic or whatever else you can come up with.
Maybe Harry Potter was in the stands or there is a phoenix feather hidden in
Hank's blocker.
In the end, it doesn't matter one damn bit. They Won.

WHat are you? Vanek's brother? his wife?
He is a highly skilled player that didn't just have a few bad games. He didn't just have a "slump" or a "bad stretch". He very clearly gave up on most plays, he avoided physical contact and he just simply did not care. I am an Oilers fan first, Habs second, so I think I can be at least somewhat objective, and I saw a very high skilled player that showed up a few times and dazzled the Montreal fans but then he just....well...stopped.
He either gave up or he is injured. Thomas "Vanish" is pretty bang on, there is no excuse |

Ha ha! Once again the would-be Mensa member takes his obviously immature and snarky wit on another let's see how cool I can make myself appear by talking down to the members of HB as well as the average sports fan in general!
Not really sure how anyone can take ANY of your blogs seriously. Critical thinkers? It seems quite obvious that you continue to fancy yourself some sort of know-all/guru of any and all things worldy, including sports...
Once again you find a way to utilize your opportunistic methods of creating a kerfuffle by taking an obvious story of underachievement in Vanek and taking the minority view point in order to attract a lot of negative feedback and troll traffic.
Mr. Tanner... You're no Richard Cloutier! |

Kudos to both teams. Both have overachieved in the playoffs and deserve their due for it. As much as I dislike many from the Montreal fan base (I know it is vice versa for the Leafs) I can't ignore the success the team had. Good season Habs and good luck Rangers.
