The Flyers have lost to either the Eastern Champion or the Cup Champion every year they’ve made the playoffs since 2007-08.

When you look at that fact you can take it a couple of ways.

As an organization we always put a competitive team on the ice and if not for injuries here and there etc.... We " could" have won the cup a couple times

Or

Simply during that time frame management can never figure out the missing pieces we need to go that extra step.

I don't mind loosing to Rangers because IMO it shows we lost to the best in our conference and it took the best to beat us. Hextall wants to be " patient" and I can understand but let's hope his " updated and new" management can figure out what pieces are needed to put us over the top while our best player is still in his prime

That may not work. There's no way to keep Pronger on the roster until opening day, to maximize LTIR. And the cap is likely to be lower then that. And Gaustad at over 3M to center the 4th line?

did you see that ridiculous blocker extension save in the first period? it hits him, on the goal line of course, the puck goes into the corner, and then he fires his blocker out afterwards, like he had to reach to make the save. it was (frank)ing ridiculous.

i missed the third period so i don't know if he was relevant or not. i'm assuming not.
