Just fine...

Mrazek's the next great goalie, they got him in the 5th. Mantha had one of the most impressive goal-scoring post-draft seasons in recent memory. Nyquist is a boss, they got him in the 4th. Jurco, Pulkkinen, Sheahan, Tatar and Jarnkrok all look like future top-9 forwards.

- Tomahawk

Time will tell on those players. Maybe we should be giving our 1rst pick to det so they will advise us the rest of the draft.

My NHL14 game says that there's a guy who led the WHL in scoring as a defenseman for Kelowna (let's just call him "jmatchett383") who was picked first overall by the Islanders and has requested a trade (which dropped his fanbase and management ratings way down). Maybe the Flyers should look to acquire him.

Josh Innes. Ugh
- PhillySportsGuy

Have you listened to him on AM? I think the first night he was surprised he was relegated to AM. I think he thought he would get paid and have the nights off. He went on a semi rampage. The rest of the week he was off. At some point he must have agreed to do AM with the acknowledgement that since no one listens he can do whatever he wants within reason. Last night some doufus got on and just ripped him stupidly for 5 minutes. They spent 15 minutes taking apart the scene in Jaws where Quint talks about the USS Indianapolis. I could have done without him singing along to the theme from Robin Hood from beginning to end.

I'm not telling you to listen but given the option during my nightly hour long ride... well, bad radio can be more entertaining than the Phils or the NBA.

Trade proven players who are young and have upside for unproven 18-year-olds. Duh!

He will start in the minors though. He needs to teach Stolarz the proper way to slash.

HF has them ranked as the 3rd-best prospect pool right now, and that's without having picked inside the top-19 since 1991. If there's one thing we can take away from Detroit's success, is that's it's not just important where/who you pick, it's just as important how you develop the kids you've got.

I'm thinking a number of the Flyers' wash-outs over the past decade or so could probably have been pretty good NHL players, but were basically mishandled/stunted/given up on.

Is that the "new" guy from Houston or wherever? The one who ripped Mason for being afraid to play playoff hockey?

Waiting 2 seasons, we'll see Couturier as an elite player, and Brayden Schenn as an almost elite player.

Giroux will still be elite.

Voracek may be elite.

Mason will be elite.

BUT (frank) IT WE NEED TO WIN NOW THIS SEASON OR WE SUCK

- Giroux_Is_God

Maybe you're right. I don't think couts or schenn or mason will be elite. I think they should progress and get a little better but it's funny how earlier today people would post they don't know what schenn will become or that he excels in anything. Shooting /faceoffs/ board battles but just because he gains some experience he's going to become elite? Sorry I don't see it. Not with couts either. Now with g came up you could see the elite talent even in warmups.

I agree. I think he's gotta be higher on this list.

Crazy how little attention he gets sometimes.

I never listened to him and my friends told me I had to give him a try because of how bad he is. I listened for 10 minutes and wanted to punch him in the face. I said never again and I've never listened to him again.

My fear is that he becomes so bad, it becomes 'trendy' to listen to him.

His point production was never as high as those other guys. He also wasn't officially recognized for his defensive acumen until this season.

Yeah. He's a complete schmo. His opinions are rarely thought out. I don't even like him. What he's doing on AM is so stupid it's entertaining.

Tough list to put together. Only concrete spots I had in my mind were Crosby, Toews, and Bergeron.

There was this one kid a while back- Gee Eye Gee- put up like 60 points in the AHL in 12 games, got called up the NHL for a week, then was sent back down to make room for a 4th liner after scoring 30 points or so in 8 games.

Don't see that every day.

"Be A Pro" is now called "Live the Life." You get asked questions by reporters and you have different categories that are affected based on how you answer them. Prior to the draft, they ask you some really odd questions ("If you were an animal, which would you be?") that can affect your draft spot (unless you dominate).
