mHP that's a great list...not sure if you had it in your order...maybe I am biased, but Hasek was the best I've seen, made simply unbelievable save after save. Brodure and Roy had the long run of greatest...they are 2 -3 for me, then Dryden...and Plante I didn't see.
One guy I would move into the top 5 for consideration is Bernie Parent.

- IonSabres

Ion, my list was not 1-5, more just a list of who I thought were the greatest. It would be a difficult task imo to come up with it in any order. They were all great. I hear ya on Bernie Parent and I also thought about including Terry Sawchuk as well. I was a kid when I saw Jacques Plante and although he played on great Canadiens teams, he stood on his head some nights and was spectacular in his own right. And he invented the goalie mask.

It was something that I just couldn't pass up. Even if it meant giving up reffing my college schedule I just had to take it.

Well folks...after a long and difficult decision my wife and I have decided to take my talents to (almost) South Beach.

I will be adding to the Sabres fan base in Orlando. I have accepted a position as an Operations Manager for and Ice Rink/Complex in Orlando. Picture the Harbor Center without the hotel but with corporate offices, a pool, gym, and tennis courts.

I am going to be missing this city more than I can explain but don't worry you will still see my posts!

That's awesome. Congratulations.

Thanks cabby!

It's pretty crazy as anyone that really knows me knows I never wanted to leave the area

- Stripes77

I've actually pondered the idea of moving/taking a job somewhere else other than here as well. It's not necessarily because I want to leave the area, or the fact that the economy may or may not be better somewhere else. However, the experience and dealing with different types of people goes along way for both professional and personal development. Some people pull the trigger out of absolute necessity, but the fact that an opportunity presented itself and you took it is outstanding.

I love mine. Use it pretty much every single day.

If NHL Gamecenter were ever to lift blackout restrictions (I guess there is a slight possibility now that the two TV contracts are set in stone), I would be dumping cable altogether and using a Chromecast or a Roku Box.

I've always wanted to be part of the "rejuvenation" of the Buffalo area. I wanted to be a part of the solution trying to raise my family here. This opportunity is just something I could not pass up.

I probably would as well. Other than sports, I don't watch much of anything else on TV when it's actually on. I have a Netflix account of my own, and then I'm a cheater and use my best friend's Hulu and HBO go accounts.

I have not used it, but I know a few people who have. It's like Chromecast, only it connects to your router via ethernet cable. It also has more apps. However, I believe it is missing one or more basic/key ones (like youtube).

Come hang out on the beach. Best place to be that day. Just bring your beverage of choice (preferably no glass). Feel free to bring your son if you want too. There's usually other kids there.

I like that the Chromecast works with anything you're doing when using google chrome.

Again, it depends on where your media is used or stored. If you have no problem streaming from another device, Chromecast is more than adequate. If you just want to access your media from one platform, the Roku Box is probably your thing.

I've been doing a lot of research into this lately, as I just built (or rather had built) a new HTPC, which serves as my media server, movie player, and DVR. I watch and record my cable/antenna TV using Windows Media Center, and my movies will be going there as well.

We usually have space for people to crash. Or if you have a tent, there's space to put that up.

I know this sounds passive and even lazy, but I'm hoping that comes along for me sooner rather than later. There's even a part of me that wants to move overseas if even for a little while.

That's true. I have a Vizio TV that has a lot of the apps on it, and then I use my Chromecast on my other TV that doesn't have those capabilities.
