I'm praying they let him play with a full cage. But it looks like that's not happening. Can't wait for Prust's 2 game suspension. |

I come not to address the ridiculously horrible "Typical Montreal" officiating, but to bust the growing myth of Tokarski the world-beater. AV, his staff, and the players are going to be kicking themselves when they watch the video today... Tokarski's rebound control is ATROCIOUS. The Rangers need to get guys in close to capitalize on the rebounds, which they almost did in spades last night. Montreal can crow all they want about being back in the series, but Tokarski is no difference maker... At least not if he plays the way he did in games 2 and 3. |

Subban kicks the feet out of players from behind all the time. So I'm shocked you've never seen it.
But I really don't care what you've seen or haven't seen. Emelin tripped him. End of story. - prock
I think it's problably accidental, but I'm not sure he was tripped. He may have lost is footing but tripped, not so sure. Even if Emilin wouldn't have touched him with is stick, their would still have been contact with Price. |

What's gonna happen to your lineup now?
Out: Stepan, Brassard, Carcillo
Pressbox: JT Miller, Jesper Fast, Ryan Haggerty
Hagelin Richards St.Louis
Kreider ? Nash
Pouliot Moore Zuccarello
? Boyle Dorsett
Do you just move everyone up and run Miller and Fast on the 4th with Dorsett? |

Brassard will be back by Sunday. Insert JT miller to that top line. |

Honestly I know it's the playoffs and players get heated in certain situations but for what Prust did to a former teammate and prob friend off the ice speaks volumes for the type of person he is. I can't believe Steps doesn't have a concussion from the hit. All I am saying that I could careless if Prust gets suspended but the refs who missed the call shouldn't be allowed to ref another game in the playoffs and they should be fined. How you miss that call is beyond me. 4 refs and not one sees this? - adwolf130
Prust doesn't care that Stepan is a former teammate, nor should anyone in the playoffs. You fight for every inch of ice, there are no friends amongst your opponents, just opponents. They can be friends again once the series is done. |

Prust is a beauty, and his stock has probably went up around the leagues GM's. That was old time hockey. Kreider takes out the Canadians best player, and Prust took out one of NY best players. If he was on the Rangers and did the same thing you would love it, you might not admit it but you would. - Grinder47
No, we wouldn't and I would be writing the same thing if it was a Ranger. If you don't think I would, ask any of my regular readers, as I call it the same way regardless of the team I root for. |

Still with this? You guys are complete idiots. Don't know how you compare the two. Emelin tripped him, ah forget it. - Blueshirts4ever
Seriously, have you ever played hockey. No disrespect intended. I just think he was going way to fast and lost control. I don't think he intended to hurt Price, he just didn't care if it happened. He wanted to score. |

So now you're assuming he would have crashed into him? How do you know he doesn't score? Evening he doesn't he probably turns and chase a rebound. You have no idea what would've happened. Maybe if he isn't tripped Price probably doesn't get hurt? And this whole he didn't make enough of an effort to avoid. That's a crock too. How do you know he intended to avoid but couldn't? And, it wouldn't matter bc if he "looked" like he made more of an attempt and he still gets hurt then you guys would say even that wasn't good enough. |

I can agree a penalty should have been called on Prust, but a 2:00 not the 5:00 variety. You are falling into the trap the NHL has of adjudicating based on the injury that occurred, not the play itself. Funny no one seemed to mind the officials when Staal treated Crosby's head and neck like a pinata. I guess it was OK for PK Subban to try out for the Mets in the finals minutes as well. Some of the swings he took against Rangers players could have gotten him a multi-year contract with the Mets....
The refereeing in the NHL is disgraceful. I am an official in other sports. I take pride in my work. I cant say that I believe the NHL guys do. Every year there are always complaints and talks of conspiracy...the NHL wants big city teams, or wants a Canadian team, or NBC doesnt want a Canadian team, or the NHL wants Crosby... Where there is smoke, there is fire. Funny all of those complaints and conspiracy series would go away if the officials just called the game from OCT 1 through the end of June. The different standard that shows up in the playoffs continues to tarnish the image of this great game. Regardless of which two teams are playing, I cringe when I see the whistles disappear in the 2nd half of the game. Do these guys not understand that by failing to make a warranted call, they are actually influencing the outcome of the game, the very thing they all say they are trying to avoid??? UGH Until that changes, we will all continue to have complaints about the refs, no matter what team we root for. |

Can't wait for Dorsett to find Subban in a vulnerable position....and BAM.
- DONMURDOCH14
He'll find that Subban is not easy to catch, and certainly not easy to hit. If there's anyone on the Habs that can take hits, it's P.K. It might fire him up too |

I was going to write this before the Stepan news broke. He struggled much of the first two periods with rebound control and was shaky with the puck, but the Rangers didn't get enough traffic in front. Tokarski was better in the third and made some excellent saves, but New York has a shot to take advantage of his shakiness but no one got to the rebounds he left. |

As I wrote in blog, think D Moore gets the first chance. If Brassard is out, Moore centers that line and Miller gets the shot at the top trio. |

He was trying to score a goal. He was going fast. Let me ask you this. If he wasn't tripped, does he stand a better chance at being able to control himself? He couldn't avoid him!!! Why do the guys on TV who were former coaches and player all say the same thing? |

Yes that's a possibility, he is a center. Don't want Richards with them and Keep Brassard with Zuccs, and Pouliot. Moore stays where he is with Boyle, and Dorsett. If needed you double shift Moore with Kreider and Nash. |
