Stop it with the French referee thing. That comment could be viewed as racism mon ami!!!! - andrest
Don't think its racist. Would be bias. I'm not saying he did it because he is a French referee, but I 100% agree with TJ, he has been one of the worst in the playoffs. Nothing to do with this call or series. Just overall. |

No one asked was ever available.
I recused myself from the first round here and other mods took it on. Because even I have my limits.
By the way. The one poster I have heard from all day long is someone I should have banned last night but gave the benefit of the doubt. He was banned later by another mod. The ban was rescinded by the commish. He immediately went and posted an incendiary post in another thread. He was banned by yet another mod. And his response has been to pepper ME with whiny PMs
So the mighty13duck may want to reconsider his wish.
Can't you guys talk about the games to come now? - bodiva88
I wasn't saying you were doing a bad job or anything btw. Just saying it would be nice to finally have a ranger ref around.

They should have in place a quality check where the performance of the officials is reviewed after each game. If it's deemed to be unsatisfactory, they get demoted. |

I'm not gonna lie..it did and still is in my mind. Truth is no one ever knows what a ref is thinking...niether you or me do. It's an opinion based question. That NBA ref a few years ago? Did anyone expect that to ever happen? No. But guess what, he was rouge. If Joannette was born and raised in NY and Prust was a ranger, i would expect someone out of MTL to say that and if you don't think so your a fool. Nothing would surprise me basically..him being a diehard hab fan shouldn't be completely dismissed. After all, MTL is close to the finals for the first time since 93. My stance has merit, and no one could change my mind on it
Aside from the Prust thing...they too many men for about 6 seconds. Subban basically swinging his stick like a baseball bat on Nashes back could also be called because they were so noticeable |

Yeah, said the exact same thing awhile ago. Players are held responsible (well they at least try) but refs could literally ref the game blind and there are no repercussions.

There should have been an interference call on Prust at the least. But wait, he may be suspended. The disciplinary system they have in place just talked to Prust. We'll know soon enough if he's get 'THE CALL'! |

yes, that's it, the ref wish.
it is more catch as catch can. but lots of hours.
And the reason I prefer modding Rangers is that I can be in the Flyer thread and usually NOT mod the conversation I'm most emotional about. And most of the time the Rangers thread is really level headed. There aren't guys in here who are in richard waving contests that we get sometimes in Flyerland. |

There are bad officials Bo...then there is Marc Joannette. Enough said, it couldn't be any clearer then that |

Carey Price was ran into by Kreider accidentaly. Did he intend to hurt him. NO.
Did Prust want to take Stepan out of the game or the series? NO. They are friends for crying out loud. |

Suspension doesn't even help the rangers really...it needed an ejection. One less forward for Mtl..now they can still dress 12 forwards and they lose a talentless player also. Big deal |

Ok, I think Prust was looking for some Payback, maybe Im completely wrong. Don't know how this pertains to me wanting any ref held accountable for horrible officiating. |

It was a premeditated dirty play. And in the playoffs there are no friends. It's irrelevant |

In that case avoid the Leaf threads like the plague... especially if we've just been beaten by Vancouver... |

He hit him in the chest. He broke his jaw when he hit the ice. Was Eric Gryba's hit last year on Eller premeditated. Of course, he wanted to hit him! Did he want to injure him. NO. Same thing applies with Prust and Stepan. |

Where he hit him is irrelevant. That gryba hit is a good comparison. I felt the same way. Prust wanted to hurt someone without a doubt..it turned out to be Stepan |

Stuff like that happens. It's a hockey play gone bad. |
