By that logic Cody Hodgson's 6 year deal is a steal because his goal scoring in that tournament means he's the next stamkos.

You do realize how historically bad this team was? If we are basing players on stats this year Shea Weber is crap too.

Every player has bad moments, and announcers love to blow things out of proportion. I'm not really worried about his play at the WHC.

But I get why some sabres fans have trouble letting him go..the guy is only 24 and is like 6'6-8?

So technically he could still become a really good d man..but at this point in his career he's like a #4....maybe a #3 (but that's pushing it a bit)

Erhoff is by far your most valuable d man and is a solid 1-2 guy..he also has a better cap hit

No high horse but just pointing out that (like the canucks) there are players that need to be (or at least considered to be) moved out.

We have one in Edler. Most fans want him gone. Too expensive for little upside except for his "potential".

I think it's more then that

Erhoff is a very good puck possession player

good on both ends of the ice

and while I can't argue he threw in the towel I think he would be solid on a playoff contending team

Yup, and that's how he played for us this season.

He had by far the biggest defensive responsibilities. He literally had 2 AHL defensemen as his partners for most of the season (Tallinder,Weber)

No player in the NHL besides an elite few, will have respectable stats on that team that was iced this season.

He had games, and quite a few before his injury where he dominated both ends of the ice.
