I like this a lot. I would try and bring Kimmo back and maybe give Akeson a shot instead of signing Raymond.

We could just use all available money on Niskanen though. I know you'll like that.

I like Niskanen, just not at the $ it'll take to get him.

I tried to be logical in the roster. I would be ok with Akeson on third line and singing Kulemin or Raymond then. I think both can move up and down. With the way i did it there was still about 3mil in cap space too so come trade deadline maybe something could be done if in the hunt.

I am just ready to move from kimmo. It's not a hate thing. Just think need to start revamping the D and if guys like Alt or Ghostisbiere are ready would rather let them play. Say we go through camp and our d is awful then maybe i revist Kimmo if unsigned.

Halak getting 4.5 for for years. Seems a little pricey. I know they needed a goalie but just seems like a lot.

Also better not be in the lottery as they gave the 2015 pick to Buffalo for the Eichol mcDavid draft.

I would want a discount on Kimmo, but I still want him back. He's mis-cast (like all of our defenseman) as a top pairing guy.

So you are okay with waiting till the end or training camp, then calling a player (assuming he isn't signed elsewhere) who presumably hasn't been skating and getting in game shape, and just throwing him into the top-4? Probably not the best idea.

I like the deal for them, though. They desperately needed stability in net, at that age range.

The problem with our defense is that it's made up of too many high priced guys. When evaluating Alt and Grossmann, the team must take salary into account.

If he wants to play he will be staing in shape. And I don't want him playing hard minutes if he does come back anyways. He is not getting faster and last year he seemed to make a lot of terrible plays on the PP with telegraphing passes. I think they have enough vets that if they insert a rookie they can move the minutes around enough.

Just some food for thought. If the flyers wanted to move the schenns in a package, Phoenix has needs for a young physical dman and a young center. Tippet had schenn on the ice the entire final minute of that game.

I like Alt. 6'4" and can skate and makes a good first pass. Not a Grossmann and i think someone you could pair with Coburn or Schenn. With no clear cut #1 they need to space the minutes out better.

Meh, if I were them, I'd take this last year on L.I. to tank up a storm and grab one of the franchise kids before the big move to Brooklyn.
