Bill do you think Dallas would have any interest in Vinny at all? They seem to be a team that wants to fly around, but they desperately need secondary scoring as well. Maybe we can bring Antoine Roussel back in a trade if we give them a pick and keep some salary.

But then who is Rinaldo going to jump?

Im not sure what the cutoff is....but what would be the point? Flyers aren't losing him for nothing
- Just5

i think it's like $3.5M. So if a team offers his, say, $3M for 3 years, the Flyers would either lose him for nothing or have to pay the man more than they want to.

Also I am starting the #LeoinO&B campaign. I thnk Karmorov on the fourth line with Laughton and rinaldo/raffl or someone else could create havoc. Think he could even play third line minutes too.

For a horrible second I thought that said "Leino".

This is where I could see Schenn. I couldn't see a team going higher unless they were really in love with schenn and banking on him exploding.

Bill,

What kind of deal do you see for Schenn. I think he might get a little more then Couturier got because of the offense he brings but I was thinking about something that kept his cap hit at around 2 - 2.5 million. Am I being to generous? Could they get him at something closer to 1.7

- J35Bacher

I would not pay him a cent more than Couturier, personally. Couturier plays tougher minutes against other teams' top lines, kills penalties and still is a double-digit scorer. Schenn's 20 goals were his entire value.

I don't think Lecavalier fits in Dallas at all. They do need more secondary scoring but they have a very up-tempo style of play.

Ok. So if he were to sing at what Couturier did that would cut his cap hit almost in half compared to this year correct?

You are right. Hextall needs to hold Schenn hostage if need be to make these players/agents understand it's a new Flyers your dealing with. If he wont sign a contract like Coot's, start shopping the kid. I would start out at 1.5 mil for 3 years for Schenn? Don't like it? I'd like to hear your argument.

Obviously

It was classy how he went to the scorers box to make sure they knew he deflected the Doughty shot when they gave Drew the goal. That's classy team play right there.

I don't think home ice would have mattered in the end. Having Mason for those first 3 games would have been an x-factor in my eyes. Despite Emery playing well in 2 of those 3 games, seeing how the team plays in front of Mason tells me they turn at least 1 of those 2 losses into wins and are still playing today. C'est la vie

mason/home ice = flyers winning the series, imho.

The only fit I can think of is Ottawa, if they go through with trading Spezza.

MacLean doesn't seem to mind playing high-event hockey, giving up a lot of shots, and they might want to keep a veteran C to supplement Zibanejad and Turris. Plus, Vinny might actually waive to go there, not to mention how it would pander to a certain subset of their fanbase.

If they had won a couple more of these coin-flips, they might have had home-ice in the 1st-round.

Not sure how they can really tangibly improve, though... Matt Read had an off year, he's usually pretty good. Maybe Jake needs to take more attempts. And Razor... man, 0.000 SV% on shots put on net? Brutal.

you know how they improve?
