the sad thing is i was 2 or 3 years older and still was reduced to tears and stomping around my house.

At 2 in the morning? Next day of high school was rough for me I remember that. Glad I stayed up

Many teams could offer sheet Schenn for a salary compensation that only nets a 2nd rd pick. Hextall's first test.

You and Crosby both.

Boom!

I assume a family member was a Pens fan, or I'm smelling a tall tale.

i dont know if the young sidney had any such allegiance to an NHL franchise just yet.

and no, my dad and step brother were actually flyers fans. which made it worse.

Your dad and step-brother must've been pretty bad to drive a 2/3 year old, who knows nothing about hockey and really can't even follow the game, over to the Pens.

I agree with that. If we're going memorable, I'll never forget JR vs the Leafs. I've never been so tired after a game.

That was good. But his game tying goal with a min left in game 6 against Tampa in 2004 was amazing.
- FlyersFirst

for some reason, this is THE goal for me as flyers fan...perhaps because i was in the building.

Foppa vs Sabres, around the whole zone then feed back to Desj at the point

obv not a series win and on the level of those others listed, but probably the defining play of his time here

You would appreciate this.
We were at a bar in Seattle last night, and the waitress asked if we like scotch whiskey. I reply affirmative. She says the rep for Glen Livet is here and would like to buy you a dram. The guy comes over and we get a free dram of the Glen Livet 12yo and the 15 yo Glen Livet aged in French oak to compare the 2. Gives us a talk on the history of scotch whiskey, the difference between the different whiskeys etc. It was awesome. Finished it off with a glass of Scapa 16 yo, the whiskey from Orkney island. I never tried this before, it was terrific. All the iodine and salt of a good Islay without the heavy peat smoke. Great whiskey, try it if you run across it.

All this with the Habs Rags game on in the background.
