I know its not an even swap but I would have to think Prust will be gone the rest of the series - Vukota
He has to be now, it's a crime if the suspension is less than 4 games. |

Yea, they'll just insert some other scrub into the lineup that can throw late hits and elbows all night long.
Probaly Moen or Bournival replaces this dirtbag Prust. |

I think Brassard is ready, but if he's not, I could see:
Kreider - Miller - Nash
Hagelin - Richards - MSL
Zuccarello - Moore - Pouliot
Dorsett - Boyle - Fast - RAGSareDANGERus
Brassard better be ready because that is a terrible lineup the Rangers would be forced to throw out there. |

It'll probably be 2 games.
Bad hit, but it wasn't THAT bad and I'm not sure Prust is a repeat offender? I feel like they'll look at his style of play and deem that he's a player that plays on the edge and this time, he went just over the line. |

Because the surgery requires all sorts of stitches & wiring, plus all the meds he's gonna b on for the pain. In not counting him out for the playoffs, but for Sunday NO CHANCE he's playing. Likely weeks. - B2B76
Yeah I think he is done for the postseason once surgery is involved. |

So much for my thought that Stepan didn't get hurt. |

Surgery pretty much indicates he is done for the year. This isn't getting stitched or sutured up; surgical procedure needed is an entirely different animal.
This is very bad news and the league looks like a joke once again. Prust illegally hits Stepan, without a penalty called, and Stepan is lost for the season.
Good job, stripes, good f*cking job. - MidnightMarauder
Yep exactly. This is really devastating news. Really sucks that it was a result of a dirty hit. Prust being suspended really is insignificant |

Maximum is only five. How insane is that though? Carcillo glances an official and gets the book thrown at him.
Prust ends another player's year and can only receive a suspension of a mere handful of games. |

Rangers could throw out their ahl team and would still win with Hank and their d core. |

Leave me out of that group; I was glad to see him go for the money Montreal wound up giving him.

Brandon Prust should receive a 7 game suspension and a hefty fine if they want to do it the right way. |

A Prust suspension is automatic now but who cares? Doing what he did to Stepan last night is all he is good for. Montreal will just supplant his spot on the roster with another useless scrub. |

I'm not worried about Miller. I think he's long overdue for a roster spot.
Fast on the other hand is a little more inexperienced, but he's defensively responsible and can skate, so he could get by playing 10 minutes a night on the 4th line.
I expect Brassard will be ready though. |

Fast had a good year in the ahl
Perhaps may turn into nyquist lite if given the chance |
