Curious, what would be the basis for the 1 game suspension ? - MadCap2008
the hit was very late, a bit on the blindside. I say 1 game because he did touch the head, but it wasn't the principle point of contact. |

Yeah, 1 game, didn't target the head, just a dangerous play to an unsuspecting player. |

I've seen the hit, it was very late but IMO it is not a hit that is suspension-worthy in this NHL (whether it SHOULD be suspension-worthy is a different subject, and more the point of Proteau's piece, I believe). |

Thought they changed the definition for a suspendable hit to include a late hit to a vulnerable player.. Maybe I'm wrong. And honestly at this point I could care less. Was way more pissed last night, that not one of the 4 idiots on the ice saw anything when it happened. |

Dead on, wasn't a head shot although he did make contact but the principle point was the chest, it was very late and blindsided a vulnerable player, if it were the Rangers it would been more of the "merry band of head hunters" crap |

Canadiens PR wouldn't let Prust talk to the media last night. Why? Might incriminate himself? |

They probably thought he did enough stupid things for the night. |

Relax - I agree it was a cheap shot, I just don't believe that this is a hit that this NHL views as suspension-worthy (if I bothered looking, I'm certain I could produce videos of similar hits which weren't even reviewed by the league). Maybe I'll be proven wrong today/tomorrow. |

Thats good stuff . ..Stepan is fine, which to me is the most important part. Does sitting Prust now for a game change anything, probably not. |

I personally thought Briere's goal, and Kreiders were the fluky ones. But all the goals were a result of hard work. But that's just my opinion. - mdw7413
With both goalies playing at a high level, sometimes fluke is the only way they happen. And I agree, there was a lot of hard work behind them, too. |

Bournival would draw back in
But perhaps they replace Prust with moen
2 options |

"Pruster" needs his down syndrome jaw dislocated the next game he actually plays against the Rangers.
As low as I was, after the Game 4 loss against Pittsburgh, I am equally as annoyed at how they lost last night.
Tokarski blows, sorry for anyone that thinks he actually played a great game last night, the Rangers made him look good more than anything else. |

Wonder what Boyle thought. Are Prust and Boyle still really good friends? |

How he was allowed to set the tone, and get away with it last night, is infuriating. |

I don't know about his long-term prospects, but I thought he was really solid last night. |

Not buying it but I guess the sun shines on a dog's @ss every once in awhile.
Montreal did a good job limiting rebounds, in which there were plenty of, and the Rangers didn't drive the net nearly enough to make things tougher on him. A lot of one and done type of scoring chances. Yes, he flopped and managed to make several big saves on St. Louis but the majority of the other "quality saves" were shot right into him.
I guess you can say he cut the angle down well but he was more lucky than good last night. That was basically Montreal's mantra all night so it was fitting that this trickled down to their minor league goaltender. |

Do we still feel good about the Rangers chances in this series? I know I do. You know, the Habs are still a pretty good team. |

I expect the rangers to come out flying sunday.
Im still confident. Never for one nanosecond did I think they'd sweep. Habs are too good, and the rangers are the rangers. Sunday's game is a must though, Habs win and this probably goes 7. |
