Iroinically, Hagelin was the only guy firing from all angles. Tokarski made 2 saves on him after his goal and Tokarski had no idea where the rebound was,

i find it interesting how you point to Montreal's flukey goals, yet you mention nothing of, say, the McDonagh goal in game 1, or both Ranger goals last night. i assume that flukeyness is likely to continue? take away all flukey goals last night and you're left with a 1-0 Montreal win. you might want to chalk everything up to flukeyness because it makes you feel better about the loss, but don't fool yourself into thinking that these 2 teams are not evenly matched. what's different this morning is that maybe the goaltending battle isn't the landslide we all thought it would be, and we could be in for a long series.

how was hagelins a fluke?

because gorges made the best (frank)ing save of the night?

Hagelin was by far our best player last night. Dude was everywhere, and like you said firing every time he had the puck. Problem with Hags is he is so damn fast, when there is a rebound nobody is there because his linemates are all behind him.

No I did acknowledge Mcdonagh's goal by saying we got our bounce after yours and yes Kreider's as also acknowledged but Hags goal wasn't a fluke, it didn't bounce off one of your players or Hags' body, Subban should be talking about their own "luck" after last night, 6 goals so far for Montreal, how many have been from the stick to the back of the net?

Right Bo Montreal fans and every Rangers hater who only show up when we lose would have flooded this thread, it's always us right? That's 5 and game every day of the week only when it happens to the Rangers the play is broken down to every second in order to dumb it down to either 2 minutes or a "hockey play"

Couple of things. The officiating in this league is the most inconsistent I have ever seen and they suck for everybody, but how all 4 officials can miss that hit on Stepan is beyond me. On majors, if a linesman sees something of that nature they can tell the ref they saw the play.

All that being said, that game had a weird feel to it all night long but its over now. They weren't going to sweep the Habs but it would have been nice to get a real stranglehold on this series but thats not what happened.

I wasn't all that confident going into last night bc 2-0 lead is too easy for them Now that the pressure will build on them for Game 4 I expect and am much more confident than I was. Also, MTL was gassed, the Rangers speed is killing them, its a series, I have to believe if they keep banging away like they have and once they get on the every 2nd day part of the series the Rangers will ultimately wear them down. Its a series, the Rangers will be OK.

Also, getting Brassard would be nice, you can see now having missed really his 3rd game that Zucc and Pouliot miss their center-man.

Stay positive

No word from the NHL yet, based on history and the Rangers I am not expecting any sort of integrity from the league

see this is what i mean. seems like there's one definition of "fluke" that applies to Montreal and another definition that applies to NY.

Well define Hags "fluke" goal instead of just calling it that, break it down for us professor

idk what you're talking about, i didnt bring up fluke, you did. i never said the rangers didnt get some bounces. just putting words in my mouth.

guess this is hockey now. if it doesn't go bar down, every goal is going to be a fluke/soft

Except the goals the Habs score. No matter how they bounce.

I personally thought Briere's goal, and Kreiders were the fluky ones. But all the goals were a result of hard work. But that's just my opinion.

Curious, what would be the basis for the 1 game suspension ?

This is the point - drive the net, throw the puck on net and good things tend to happen. Not that many pretty goals this time of year, especially at even strength.

Yup, not many soft goals either. Teams don't make it this far by giving up softies.

Very late hit on an unsuspecting vulnerable player. The one Brassard got hurt on was very similar, but I had no problem with it, because it was a hit right after a pass. The Prust one, was way late, I think Stepan took three strides without the puck before he got hit.
